## What is Daybook?

Daybook puts the day on one page: the tasks due, the events on your calendar, and the time you spend, laid out from morning to night.

TODAY
See the day as a path from morning to evening, with overdue tasks at the top and anything without a time set apart. Tick things off as you go and watch the ring fill.

PLAN AHEAD
Next 7 Days shows the week at a glance. The Calendar puts your events beside your tasks, and you can drag a task onto another day to move it. Give any task a time, a repeat and reminders.

LISTS AND INBOX
Write a task in the moment and sort it later. Keep lists for home, work and anything else, add steps to a task, and share a list with someone.

KEEP THE TIME
Start a clock on a project from anywhere and see it on your Lock Screen. The timesheet lays your weeks out by day, and you can log or fix entries by hand. The focus timer runs a block of work against a task.

MORE IN THE SAME HAND
Habits, countdowns, stats, and an asset register for the things you own, with photos and receipts.

WORKS EVERYWHERE YOU ARE
Daybook keeps a copy on your iPhone and iPad so it opens offline, and syncs with the website at usedaybook.app. Sign in with Face ID or Touch ID through a passkey. Widgets and reminders keep the day in view.

Daybook on iPhone and iPad is part of Daybook Pro:

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-21

List widget: one list, or today's page, on your Home Screen, with the day's calendar events and family care above the tasks and a checkbox on every row. Hold the widget and choose Edit Widget to pick the list.

Anytime and Someday: two new pages for tasks without a fixed day. Anytime gathers everything you could start now, from every list. Someday is a shelf for ideas and maybe-laters, out of the way until you want them. Shelve a task from its sheet, a swipe or the reschedule menu, and bring it back the same way. Each list keeps its shelved tasks under Someday at the bottom, and a dated task keeps its date as a deadline while it waits.

Quick Find: find any task, list or page by name. On iPhone, pull down on Lists; on iPad and Mac, use the search field at the top of the sidebar.

Inbox: now also shows what you could start today from your other lists, each marked with its list.

Also: the sidebar and tab choices follow a clearer order (Inbox, Today, Next 7 Days, Anytime, Someday), and a fix for Today when scrolling more than a few weeks ahead.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-20

Lower prices for Daybook Pro: $3 a month, $20 a year, or $50 once. You can now also tick off your own tasks while offline. Plus small fixes and improvements.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-19

Daybook now works the way you'd expect when you're offline, on a bigger screen, or in a different time zone.

• Today and Calendar open without a connection, and ticking tasks off works offline and syncs when you're back.
• The Inbox works offline too.
• Today is the phone's date, and weeks start on the day your region uses. The week strips swipe.
• Next 7 Days now names its days.
• Done replaces a dead Save, subtasks can be deleted, and overdue tasks show once.
• A wide window on iPad and Mac: a side panel, menu-bar shortcuts and hover.
• The Today agenda scrolls more smoothly, and VoiceOver reaches every weekday.
• Clearer wording for Completed, Trash and invites.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-16

Family Care: see who has the kids, and plan care days with your family. Make a private family, invite the adults who help, and save the days you've agreed on, like "Grandma has Emma and Jack on Wednesday." Everyone sees the same schedule as a list or a month, care shows on your calendar, and you get an alert when a day is planned, changed or canceled. Each adult needs Daybook Pro; children don't need accounts.

Focus timer: turn the dial to set the length, pick the task from a sheet, and play ambient music, a lo-fi groove, rain or brown noise while it runs.

Quicker task entry: type "Call Sam tomorrow at 3pm" and Daybook offers to set the day and time for you.

Calendar: a cleaner month with colored dots for each day's events and lists, an agenda in Today's order, and dragging a task onto a day now moves it.

Also: new list sheets, sharing a list from its page, a tidier Assets page, counts for each part of Today, better large-text and Reduce Motion support, and fixes, including a focus timer Start button that could get stuck.
