Shorter questions, quicker days.

You told us the daily challenge was taking too long and starting to feel like an exam rather than a game. We have rewritten it: far less reading, the same thinking. Expect quick visual puzzles, wordplay and short riddles instead of long word problems.

Scoring is fairer too. Speed now separates the strongest players properly, instead of everyone who gets five out of five landing on the same score.

This update makes your first day and your identity yours:

• New players now play TODAY'S real challenge as their very first game — and that score counts, so you can compare with the friend who invited you right away.
• Your first results screen shows your REAL rank among everyone who played today.
• You can now change your display name in Settings — and Sign in with Apple starts you with your real name instead of random letters.
• Fresh, varied daily questions.

This update fixes issues from your feedback:

• Daybreak now always opens to today's challenge. If you played yesterday, you'll land on "Play now" for the new day instead of your last result.
• Today's challenge also refreshes the moment you reopen the app, so a new day is never missed.
• Fixed a problem that could let one day's challenge be played more than once.
• Confirm your email with a 6-digit code right inside the app — no more getting bounced out to a web page.
• Smoother upgrade: if you're signed out when you start a free trial, we sign you in first so your subscription always activates.
• Invite links now open straight into the app.
• The numbers we show you are now the real ones — today's live challenge and real player counts, everywhere.
• Corrected how the chain multiplier is explained, and made your first practice round score exactly like the daily challenge.
