While I’m happy that it’s finally here, it’s still got a ways to go until it’s my daily driver calendar. The lack of iCloud integration as others have mentioned is my second biggest deal breaker. The first is the lack of view options. A week view, agenda view, and split month view would make using this calendar a lot more enjoyable. All the icons and colors are awesome unless you’re like me and don’t have enough events in a day to appreciate those options. Once those are implemented I know this will be by default calendar and arguably the best on iOS. ### 2/5 — Integration *2022-08-12, version 1.2.0* Good, but lack of iOS calendar integration is a blocker. ### 2/5 — Web app great, iOS app not so much *2022-08-07* The web app is great but this iOS app feels like it was rushed to market just to say there is an app available. It doesn’t provide much value so it was deleted. If you provided something comparable to the web app version, that would very useful. **Developer response:** Hi, we've made a lot of improvements since you last tried version 1.0 of the app. We'd love it if you could give us another try, and let us know what you think! ### 2/5 — Am I Missing Something? *2022-08-03* Came across this app on a blog I read and it piqued my interested. Downloaded it and I am not really sure what is going on. I feel like I am missing something. I linked my Google Account to the calendar and it was, kinda, successful. I can see prior events I have added, but nothing new. Nor, can I seem to find anything new that I add. I am also wondering if there will be calendar integration for iCal. My main calendar is through the native Apple app. ### 3/5 — No iCloud Support *2022-08-02* The lack of iCloud calendar support is what stops me from using this calendar. It is pretty and simple which I love, but without iCloud I’m out. **Developer response:** Hi, sorry it's taken us a few years, but iCloud support is now available and plenty else has improved in the meantime too. We'd love for you to give Daybridge another go and tell us what you think! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Style over substance… *2024-09-23, version 1.73.14* I genuinely don’t understand what the direction of travel is here? I can get onboard with the concept of a calendar that’s less work-focussed, but the product just feels so lightweight and so obviously lacking in functionality that I can’t see how anyone uses it as a viable alternative to a standard calendar app. The company seems obsessed by minute UI details which is all well and good, but they could do with just shipping a less polished product faster that actually gets them to something distinctive. At the moment it feels like a Dribbble prototype that someone’s put together as a design school exercise. A project, not a product. ### 1/5 — Deleted accounts aren’t deleted *2024-05-08, version 1.73.4* Had an account a while back but decided it wasn’t for me so I deleted my account. Fast forward to this week, thought I’d give it another try to see what’s changed. I’m unable to register because my previous account was ‘deleted’. Feels like my previous data wasn’t actually deleted…just marked as deleted. ### 1/5 — Sorry but leave it to the professionals *2024-03-29* Everyone and their mother are making calendar applications now a days. Really don’t bother if you’re going to make the same thing everyone else has made. ### 1/5 — Epic failure of hypes *2022-12-06, version 1.13.0* Such hype created around this app and it is just a big farce but nothing! This app doesn’t deserve to be on the App Store as it’s nothing but a very early beta of something feels like they are having hard time building…list of things which you expect from the latest calendar app is way far from this app but it can’t even do a simple thing right. Layout is boring list of events without any colours. ### 1/5 — It’s almost like the app and website are two different companies *2022-11-26, version 1.11.0* I was so impressed by Daybridge functionality and the look on the website that I started loading my events in it, and it does exactly what I wanted when using my PC, however the mobile app is a different story. In the app it’s a day view to a page, and that’s almost the limit to its capabilities. I haven’t yet tried it on iPad but this is an insane waste of real estate with the size of mobiles these days, and tablets now using the same OS. ### 1/5 — Sign in Broken *2022-11-15, version 1.10.0* Sign in hasn’t worked since a few days ago, useless app now ### 1/5 — Great idea, but it’s form over function right now *2022-10-05, version 1.6.0* I really wanted to love this app, having followed the development and buying into the idea that calendars (by and large) are designed to manage work, not personal time. But there’s just too many features missing, some of which seem insanely obvious. 1) No way to quickly duplicate events. If I want to schedule something (like a haircut) same time, same place, I have to recreate the entire thing. Boring. Waste of time. 2) No way to get a quick overview for month, or even the week. Not even a little dot indicating something on that day in the month view. Almost like the designer was worried about spoiling the UI. You get a similar view on the web app, but in 2022, people live on their smartphone. 3) No way to customise notifications for upcoming alerts. It’s 10 minutes before, or nothing. Overall, the concept is great. But it manages to feel both over engineered and under baked at the same time. Is it really more important for someone to log their morning cycle than it is to simply view what they’ve got upcoming for the week? It could be great. I’m sure it will be. But currently it’s only worth your time existing alongside a more functional calendar app. ### 1/5 — Waited a year for….. *2022-08-02, version 1.0.0* The calendar with the minimum of functionality - no week view, no agenda view, etc no manual lousy colour scheme, blocky text. In the bin after an hour. There are so many other calendars that are better ( hmm thinking about it every calendar in the App Store ). The only redeeming feature - its free. ### 2/5 — Baseline *2023-12-11, version 1.59.0* Daybridge had a lot of hype leading up to its release in late 2020 with significant startup Investment and marketing claiming they wanted to make the thing that reinvented digital calendars. What we have now, 3 years later is a public beta thats last user facing update that wasn’t an icon change occurred a year ago and an barebones feature set lacking template creation for recurring styles of event (you enable recurring entries) and event notes which is frustrating. Otherwise if you are fine with a basic, multi-platform calendar that doesn’t require a Gmail account, give it a go but at the moment it’s functional but not exceptional. ### 2/5 — Not sure.. *2022-12-08, version 1.13.0* I don’t fully understand the app. Beyond the strange UX, it just doesn’t seem to do what it’s set out to do. Perhaps the web version is better and the app has slipped by the wayside, but right now this feels like a to do list starter project. UX Issues: - My first time opening the app I wanted to view a day/week/month view, but that functionality is seemingly nonexistent - Due to the above, when I created an event for a future date, I didn’t actually know where it went. There was no indication that I needed to swipe across to find it. - There is no way to delete historical or in running events. In fact, you can’t delete _any_ events. Overall I’m a bit surprised by this. It feels beta MVP rather than shippable product. Hopefully it improves but until then it’s back to an alternative. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — What calendars should be *2026-08-14, version 3.25.0* Daybridge has revolutionised how I organise my life. Most calendar apps feel very corporate: designed around meetings. Daybridge takes a different approach and feels far more human; designed for my personal life and how I actually live. The design is excellent - pixel perfect. It is a joy to use compared to the stagnant corporate surfaces of the typical calendar apps. The real innovation, though, is the philosophy of the product, seamlessly merging different personas in one calendar view. Phone and tablet versions are athletically pleasing and functional. Having a really simple and user friendly interface, it feels smooth and easy to use. I will be definitely using this app for my upcoming college year ! ### 3/5 — Not getting a code *2025-07-10* I’ve been using Daybridge as my main calendar for a few months now and seeing that they’re out of beta is really exciting! One downfall is now I need a phone number to sign in, which is cool, but it’s not sending me a code to my phone number so that I can sign in. However, when i use the app and try to add stuff in, it will add it on the day after. e.g if i have an event on 3rd and i’m not paying attention, the app will easily allocate this event for the 4th. This becomes so annoying because the website will not do that! If they fixed this aspect, I would 100% love it 5 stars ### 3/5 — Lack of widgets *2022-10-22, version 1.7.1* I really like the app, the colours are nice, and integration with google calendar is really convenient. I also like the overall structure of the app, but the lack of widgets make it really hard to use.
