All we really needed was a fix to the buggy way background images are handled. Now that that is actually worse, I don’t even bother with them anymore. ### 2/5 — Used to be awesome. Now, not *2026-06-23, version 6.1* This is one of two apps I have ever paid for because I loved the layout and UI of it. I’ve been using this app for 6 or 7 years and it’s been great. But now I can’t stand it. The UI used to be wonderful and now is trash, the update deleted my previously saved events (I re-added them but the fact that it deleted important dates is BS), can’t edit/crop the images how you used to be able to do… at this point I am just going to parrot what the other recent comments have already stated, so I’ll just leave it there. Tl;dr: this app used to be awesome and was exactly what I had been wanting and I loved it so much that I ended up buying the app outright. Now I hate it and am looking at alternatives. ### 3/5 — Needs a lot of work *2026-06-20, version 6.1* The actual countdown aspect of the app is decent and it’s fun that you can add different background images. However, the new layout has added a ton of unnecessary features. Also the widget almost never works and hasn’t essentially the whole time I’ve had the app which has been at least a year or two. ### 3/5 — Ok so far *2026-05-25, version 6.1* I’m new to this app, and so far it’s alright. I’m glad I didn’t see the original design; sounds like people preferred that one. I have to click on the widget and open the app for it to update. Defeats the purpose of a widget. ### 4/5 — It was perfect but *2026-04-11, version 6.0.1* I bought a yearly subscription and have been using it for the past 11 months but it updated a couple of months ago and now every time you open the app it prompts you to create a new event and you have to skip 3 pages worth of these prompts to get to your count down or streak pages. I tried to find a way to switch it off but can’t. It’s so frustrating that I’ve now cancelled my subscription and won’t renew for another year. I like the IDEA of different backgrounds so I can have a pic of that memory for the widget. Problem is this app glitches so much that currently have a wooded backdrop of San Diego instead of the beach. It’s laughable that the app won’t let you use such basic features without paying a monthly subscription. One-time fee? Maybe. Monthly? I’m assuming the latest update was the cause. I reached out for help, to no avail. Help would still be appreciated. ### 1/5 — Garbage Data Pirate App *2026-06-25, version 6.1* You are required to link one of your main accounts to this app before you can even view the app. Read the terms of service and privacy policy carefully. You consent to way too much for a basic counting app. ### 1/5 — Randomly deleted all counters *2026-06-12, version 6.1* Got on today and all my counters were just gone. Account still logged on and everything. Tried contacting support but haven’t heard back. It would seem that the information is not held locally so it’s not really your own info. Which is disturbing. ### 1/5 — Erased Important Day *2026-05-30, version 6.1* On the 2nd anniversary of the death of a family member, this app destroyed 2 years of tracking a date using this timer. Poor app in my opinion. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate day count *2026-05-10, version 6.1* I put in a date that’s about 33 days away. I chose to exclude weekends in the settings and the preview showed that the date was 23 days away. Clicked the check mark and then it automatically changed to 28 days away. No matter how many times I change it, the app continues to display an incorrect number of days and I’m not sure how it arrived at that number. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app if it can’t accurately count down the days. ### 1/5 — Latest Update Broke the App *2026-04-16, version 6.0.1* I have been a loyal paid user for years. The App became unusable recently. When track an event and hit the edit - reset option, the app does NOT reset to zero. It starts a 59 minute countdown and does not track elapsed time for the first hour.
