## What is DayDare?

Social confidence practice for shy people, introverts and anyone who feels a little rusty. Every day DayDare gives you one small real-life mission, the exact words to say before you go, and thirty seconds to log how it went.

Being easy around people predicts happiness better than almost anything else, and it grows the way any skill does: in small steps, repeated. Ask the barista what they actually like, ask a colleague for help, invite a friend for a walk. Most missions take two to ten minutes.

HOW IT WORKS
• One mission a day, from six ladders: Presence, Small talk, Asking, Inviting, Depth and Hosting. Each has five levels, and you move up on your own once you manage the same level twice.
• Missions fit where your life happens (work, a café, the street), so you never get "ask a coworker" on a day you work from home.
• Before you go, "What to say": an opening line, what to say if they answer in one word, and what to do if they say no. Eight characters, each difficult in a different way, so the words fit the person in front of you.
• Guess first: predict how frightening it will feel afterward.
• Log it in thirty seconds: Did it, Partly or Not today. Every honest answer counts the day. Rate your fear before and after, and see your guess next to what really happened.

WATCH THE FEAR GET SMALLER
• Your journal shows how much less afraid you are after a mission, on average, and whether the fear before is falling, week by week and ladder by ladder.
• Calibration shows how often reality turns out easier than you expected.
• A letter at the end of each week about what moved.
• Your record on one page: every number recomputed from your journal, yours to keep or show anyone.

ALWAYS WITHIN REACH
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a Live Activity while a mission is on, and a Control Center button.
• An Apple Watch app with a complication.
• Siri and Shortcuts: "What's my mission?", "What do I say?"
• Spotlight finds any of the 100 missions from the Home Screen.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no email, no analytics, no ads and no AI.
• Your journal lives in your own iCloud. There is no DayDare server.
• Dictated notes are transcribed on your device.
• Save a copy as a file, or delete everything, at any time.

MADE FOR EVERYONE
VoiceOver with audio graphs, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, light and dark appearance, and three palettes.

One swap a day if a mission doesn't fit, one extra mission if you want more, and a streak that forgives a missed day each week. It counts honesty, not pressure. One purchase, no subscription.

DayDare is not dating advice, not therapy and not a technique for influencing anyone. Every mission respects a no. If you need more than an app, please talk to someone: findahelpline.com

New
• Tapped the wrong answer? Press and hold an entry in the Journal to delete it. If it was today’s, the day opens again and you can log it anew.
• On a new iPhone, your journal comes back from iCloud by itself, and the welcome screens close as soon as it arrives.

Improved
• After “I’m doing this”, Today leads with “Log how it went”, so you always know where to close the day.
• Path explains what a ladder is, how you move up it and where courage points come from.
• On the first run, the fear scale says what 1 and 5 mean, and a grayed out button tells you what is missing.
• Apple Watch no longer shows yesterday’s mission in the morning, and clears itself after Delete everything.
• A swipe can no longer lose your answers halfway through logging the day.
• Notifications open the right tab, and the widget and Siri take you to Today from any tab.
• The text that goes with a shared card is translated, and there is no card for a “Not today”.
