### 4/5 — IPad support- date change

*2021-03-01*

Great app on my IPhone, saves a lot of time entering a note. But I can’t get the correct date on my IPad, when I go to change the date, nothing happens,, this is just on the IPad, not my IPhone.

### 4/5 — Great app + DayOne integration possible

*2020-03-29*

I was looking for something to replace vJournal for daily logging and small journal entries during the day. This app works great for the purpose. But I also wanted to pull my daily entry from Evernote into DayOne, which is my main journaling app. I found I can write an ifttt applet that pulls my DayEntry file from Evernote into DayOne when I add a tag to the DayEntry file. At the end of the day, I add a tag (I use “JournalComplete”) to the DayEntry file in Evernote. I go to the ifttt app, run the applet and presto, the DayEntry file for that day is copied to DayOne. The geotags are not preserved but I can live with that. Fantastic!

### 5/5 — Great journal for Evernote!

*2019-12-21*

This is a great journal app. I found this app to replace the vJournal app...which was no longer being supported. This app is a simple, no-nonsense app that flawlessly posts to Evernote. I’m grateful to have found it!

### 4/5 — Update

*2019-12-10, version 1.2.1*

Would give 5+ review if updated, better implemented instructions, and if you could get assets to qestions

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2019-07-10*

Makes up for all Evernote’s shortcomings, and makes logging, especially health and daily journaling, a breeze. Used it for tracking chronic health issues with my doc, came in handy.

### 4/5 — Photo Album

*2019-05-11, version 1.2.1*

Why can not it access the whole photo album? It seems it could do it before this year.

### 5/5 — Great Evernote log

*2019-03-23*

This works great I have used for years and use it everyday. It is obvious that the developer does not update up this app but it really does not matter because it works great. I do wish it was updated for iPhone X and I do worry if it will eventually break from an iOS update.

### 5/5 — Still Great

*2019-01-08*

PLEASE FIX EVERYTHING FOR IOS 11/12 for iPad. It’s pretty broken right now and needs an update: I can’t even access the settings now with an external keyboard.

Thanks.

This app allows you to micro-journal to Evernote. You get one Evernote note per day, and DayEntry keeps appending to that with timestamps (and location links) until the day is over. You can even set the flip time (e.g., 3am).

This app is absolutely awesome and ends my years-long struggle with journal apps. I trust Evernote to not go out of business and this DayEntry app to do its small (but awesome) part: micro-journal entries. Allows for photos from your library, camera, and all other normal stuff. And if you want to get more serious, you could also just flip to Evernote. You can even edit the journal entry in Evernote and DayEntry will keep appending properly.

Also it does landscape and portrait, even on iPhone (whew!).

Wish it did Slide-over and side-by-side, but that's fine.

Thanks for making this great app. I just bought the bundle and am looking forward to checking out the other two.

### 5/5 — Integration

*2018-12-03, version 1.2.1*

For the best results integrate with Evernote, Evernote integrates with everything, the timestamp is boss. Jus keep pushing entries through as u go through the day and u will be surprised @ the amount of logs at the end of the day , gives u a clearer perspective of how time would be been spent.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2018-09-23*

Looked for something to replace vJournal. But, this is actually better! You can upload more than one picture at a time, and the format is compatible with the folder structure I already set up...

### 5/5 — Great app for journaling

*2018-01-20*

This is a great little app for journaling. I love the fact that it writes to Evernote rather than a proprietary database. One of my concerns with other journaling apps is what happens to my data if a new OS breaks the app functionality. That issue is resolved here.

I really hope the developer keeps this app updates.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — no longer works

*2024-12-19, version 1.2.1*

used to work but now refuses to link to Evernote wont allow pasting of credential then says it going to reset Evernote password. very sloppy and unprofessional

### 1/5 — This app no longer works!

*2024-01-13*

This was a fantastic app that would link to Evernote. I used it for years and loved it. Unfortunately, it no longer works. At first you could not cut and paste into it any longer. Now it just won’t even open up. I have deleted it, re-downloaded it, and reconnected it to Evernote several times and it still does not work. I am really bummed.

### 1/5 — App is currently broken…

*2023-12-17*

I love this app. It is one of my favorite. Unfortunately, right now it is currently broken. I don’t know how to contact Support. The app will not let you paste anything. When you touch the screen to pull up the paste option, the app shuts down. I really hope, they get a fix for it soon. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it and it is still doing the same thing.

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2022-09-11, version 1.2.1*

I think the developers are given up on this app. And the longer complies with the security requirements and therefore fails to link with Evernote.

Pity as I was using it every day and I don’t think there’s any other apps that connect a Journal with Evernote

### 1/5 — Want my money back!

*2018-05-28*

I bought this app and I cant use it, it asks me to link up but when I put my email in it says I dont have an account. All I really need is to record notes but every time I write something to save it disappears and have no idea where it went have no idea how to look monthly. Theres no intro education step by step how to NOTHING, just expects that I know how to use it already.

Refund please!

### 1/5 — It crashed whenever I use it.

*2017-05-07, version 1.2.1*

Maybe it needs to be updated again?

### 2/5 — No longer working

*2023-05-30, version 1.2.1*

This app used to be great. However recently it has stopped syncing properly and I have lost some important notes

### 2/5 — No support

*2022-07-18, version 1.2.1*

I can’t get the program to link to Evernote and I can’t get to support.

### 2/5 — Wanted to love it but....

*2018-12-26*

I was very excited to set this app up, and it would be perfect if trying to use a Bluetooth keyboard (I tested two different ones just to be sure) didn’t break the interface. Instead of bringing up the icons that allow selection of different functions, the bar at the bottom seizes up and apparently layers all the icons on top of each other, making the app useless to me. The only fix is to disconnect the Bluetooth keyboard, and then I can’t type. Please fix this so I can enjoy using your app!

### 4/5 — Need on Android devices too

*2023-12-18, version 1.2.1*

Loved this app on my iPhone. Would love it even more if they had a version that worked on Samsung phones (android)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Super handy

*2025-02-23, version 1.2.1*

Extremely easy to use once it’s set up

### 5/5 — Another useful and stable app

*2024-05-16, version 1.2.1*

I have been enjoying this app for years and I am overdue writing this review.

I totally agree with Sharperstill’s review. This is such a well-designed and stable app. I use it all day and every day. I even use it for a scratch pad.

I think its faster and easier to use than Evernote itself. It’s got some great features, too.

Thanks for such a useful app!

### 5/5 — A great Evernote adjunct

*2022-12-14, version 1.2.1*

Easy to access and use. Great for noting events as they happen and keeping a record of important events. One day, one note, multiple time stamped entries.

### 5/5 — Fantastic and awesome app

*2022-10-05, version 1.2.1*

I highly recommend DayEntry as it is very flexible and works with Evernote perfectly.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-01-23*

### 5/5 — Fantastic App for Evernote!

*2020-08-11*

I use it for note taking, journal entries, basically my on the go memory. Works great. I set up a Book in Evernote I name by the year M2020 and have everything for the year saved in that file. If you have premium version of Evernote, searching for date and/subject is easy.

### 5/5 — This is an excellent partner to Evernote

*2020-06-06, version 1.2.1*

So easy to capture Data and have it seamlessly integrated with Evernote. Totally recommend the app.

### 5/5 — Simple, but effective

*2020-03-27*

Quick way to enter daily notes. Find it useful.

### 5/5 — Terry

*2020-03-14, version 1.2.1*

This is my go to app first thing in the morning and then use to add to a number of times a day. Syncing all my notes daily to Evernote.
