Suspiciously, now all of my tasks are being denied it’s almost like they don’t want me to reach 2500 points. Update: I added a few stars since daylight eventually honored my rewards and I was able to withdraw ### 3/5 — Stuck on verify window *2025-01-29* Please fix the app, I updated the app and when signing in, it prompts me to confirm my email. I entered my email, received the email to confirm, the email takes me to download the Daylight app. Once downloaded, I’m stuck on the confirm email screen in the app. ### 2/5 — Poor support and buggy App *2024-11-24* This is personal experience and other users may have different one. The idea is pretty good but the App execution is poor. You cannot redeem the point if you done have approved quest, I submitted the quest almost month a go and it is pending since then, contacted support via the email and it is been a week an no response. There is option to repeat the quest or notified them any other way. ### 2/5 — Many bugs *2024-11-12, version 1.1.24* I keep getting daily notifications that I need to resubmit certain quests because they were rejected. I followed the quest instructions to a T, so I’m not sure what I even did wrong. However, in the app the quests still show as awaiting review so I cannot even resubmit if I wanted to. I “opened a ticket” on Discord and have had no response. Second, on the redemption page for the $25 Amazon gift card it says you only need to have completed the Welcome to Daylight quest, but when I try to redeem a popup says you have to have completed the Welcome to Daylight and Electric Home Quests. Still working out the kinks I guess. ### 1/5 — False and Misleading to get signups *2024-11-07* They were advertising $25 gift cards for signups and completing quests. Plus 1000 pts ($10 toward gc) for EACH referral. Everytime I got my quests completed. They updated and made changes requiring me to start over quest and took points away. It’s confusing to even explain. Imagine referring like $11 people unknowingly giving them false info that came from the company then they didn’t get anything. Now I look like a liar. Most of my referrals got a pop up that I had exceeded my limits. SMH. A whole mess. Then I see them posting bragging about their INCREASED ACCOUNTS. Of course, because you lied and promised everybody gift cards and gave them nothing. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2024-11-06* No actual customer service, been waiting over a month to get a quote for solar panels. Messaged them on X & discord and they only reply with “ we are working on the app” it seems no actual issues are being resolved and they have no actual customer service support. We’re happy to help if you contact us! ### 3/5 — Started good *2024-11-06, version 1.1.22* The app started off good, I was able to link my Tesla and complete the quests when i first downloaded it, i also even received 1 Amazon gift card for $25! Ever since then it’s kinda gone way downhill.. not only did they reset all my progress in my quests due to fraud protection (which i can understand) but now that I have enough point for another gift card and have done all the quests again they don’t seem to want to approve it. It it stuck on pending review and has said that for almost a week and I am unable to get another gift card until they review it.. also I had downloaded this app through the DIMO app and was told that I would receive $30 in DIMO and that was about 2 months ago and still have not received it so that’s kinda lame.. for now I’m gonna have to go with 2 stars but will change my review if the app improves! Update 11/6/24 So I had posted my original review about 2 days ago and I stated how I never received my $30 in DIMO that was offered as a reward but the day after I left the review I ended up receiving it lol. I’m not sure if if has anything to do with the fact that I left a review but I know from emailing support that they send out the rewards from quests on the 15th of the month and I received it on the 5th so I’m kinda assuming that it has to do with me leaving a review which is actually a good sign to me if true because it shows that they are actively involved and listening to the feedback they receive. I am going to increase my rating as promised due to that but I also noticed that my quests got reset AGAIN and are now pending review like previously. You will not be able to redeem. Shop to redeem has been broken and highly doubt it will return, daylight does not respond to emails so no point, good luck. Fun while it lasted ### 3/5 — Hmm I’ll change my review once it gets better *2024-11-01* I already had my quests approved and cashed out 2 gc that was like a week and half ago from today . Now I had to do my quests over after redeeming and it’s been stuck pending for like a week now which is ridiculous because other people are redeeming . Once my quests stop going back and forth of being pending and approved and I’m able to redeem everyday rightfully from referring I’ll change my review . So far the app has had multiple bugs that have made it unusable for days at a time. They’ve blocked me from the energy quest because they didn’t like my breaker panel apparently 🤷‍♂️ They won’t let me complete the new heating quest because the app automatically says “can’t verify your photo, take a new one”. I reached out to customer support to inquire why that was the case and they quickly responded back to me. Compared to past reviews, I believe the app is much better and they plan to release another version soon! ### 5/5 — Earning points and rewards *2025-10-27* I have been using the app throughout the year and earning rewards based on the points accrued. Very happy with the reward program overall, and whenever I reach out to customer support with questions or concerns, I get help quickly. I have seen some bugs in the software mentioned by others, but they have never impeded me from earning rewards after bringing to developers’ attention. After connecting my EV and Ecobee devices, I started earning points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards. So far, I’ve been able to get a $25 gift card every month. They must have added some new staff recently, because I noticed last week my $30 DIMO bonus came through on the DIMO app for signing up for Daylight. Then I got several messages that my quest on Daylight would be unblocked. After reaching out, I finally did get my quest approved after several months, and a week after the DIMO. I had enough for two of the $25 gift cards. I was able to redeem two codes they gave me. Seems like Daylight is on the right path it’s a work in progress. Customer has always responded to my emails concerning the only issue I’ve encountered thus far. Well 2 issues I never received the offered 30$ of DIMO tokens and the 1000 daylight points for signing up through a DIMO link. 2nd issue is with the 25$ gift card when I went to redeem the code on Amazon I was unable to use the gift card because the code had already been used and the date Amazon said it was redeemed was 2 weeks before I received the E code. I’ve been in contact with support but both issues are still unresolved. Will update when I have a definitive answer on both issues.
