Thank you to Ira for reporting it. Hoist a project Project menu, Hoist Project, or right-click a project's header: every other project collapses and the one you are planning has the board to itself. Expand All Projects brings them back. Also from Ira. ### 1.39 — 2026-09-19 Drag a list into a project Copy a list from Notes, Reminders, Mail or a web page and drop it on a project. Each line becomes a task, and indented lines become subtasks. Drop it on a task instead and the lines become that task's subtasks. Past twenty lines, DayMap asks first. Mac and iPad. The window comes back where you left it On the Mac, DayMap now opens at the size and position you last had it, including after an update. It used to forget after each new version. Thank you to Rene for reporting it. Command-F finds the search box On the Mac, Command-F now puts the cursor in the search box at the top right. Also from Rene. The expand arrow means there is something under it With completed tasks hidden, a task whose only subtasks were finished still showed an arrow that opened onto nothing. The arrow now appears only when there is a subtask to show. Sync status, where you can see it On the Mac and iPad a small cloud now appears beside the search box while DayMap is syncing, and turns orange with an explanation if sync cannot start. When everything is fine and idle, nothing is shown. A missed drop stays put Dragging a task within a day and letting go on empty space used to send it to the bottom of the day. It now springs back where it was. Thank you to Jim for both. ### 1.37 — 2026-09-18 THE SYNC LOG - THIS IS THE ONE I NEED NUMBERS FROM Settings, iCloud. Below the sync report there is now a timestamped log of what iCloud has been doing, newest first, with seconds. With two Apple IDs: add a task to a shared project on one machine, then read the log on BOTH. On the sending machine find when the upload finished. On the receiving machine find when the download began. The gap between those two numbers is the delay, and it tells us whose it is. If the upload finishes in a second or two and the download starts a minute later, the time is CloudKit's and out of our reach. If the upload itself is slow, it is ours. Send me both logs either way. THE APP ICON DayMap's icon is the current artwork now - deeper blue, and the calendar and pin fill much more of it. It was the last place still carrying the old cyan version. Look at it in the Dock, in Launchpad, on the Home Screen, in the app switcher, in Settings, and on the watch. Anywhere it looks wrong - a white box behind it, square corners where they should be round, a blurry or off-centre mark - tell me where you saw it. The one worth a close look is the smallest: the Mac menu bar and Finder sidebar draw it at 16 points, and that is where an icon usually falls apart. ### 1.36 — 2026-09-17 A bearing takes its task to the top of the day Marking a task as one of your 3 Daily Bearings now moves it to the top of that day's work. Set all three and they read 1, 2, 3 down the list, in the order you chose them. A task with a time on it keeps its place on the clock. Go straight to a task's project On Mac and iPad, right-click a task on the calendar or in Focus and the menu offers to take you to its project. It switches areas, opens the column if you had it folded, and scrolls to the task, wherever you had filed it. Choose the screen DayMap opens to on iPhone Settings > Your Day > When DayMap Opens lets you pick Projects, Today, Upcoming or Inbox. If you plan from Upcoming, that is where the app now starts, instead of two taps away. It applies when you open DayMap fresh, not when you come back to it from another app — being pulled somewhere else mid-task would be worse than the setting is worth. Next 7 moves through the days without a break Scrolling the Next 7 calendar and stopping part way now shows seven days in order wherever you let go. Thank you to Ugur for reporting this one, and for checking the dates rather than the day names — that is what made it findable. The Schedule tab stays where you left it On iPhone, switching to Inbox or Projects and back to Schedule now returns you to Day or Upcoming, whichever you were using. ### 1.35 — 2026-09-11 Next 7 Days, on the toolbar The calendar toggle now reads Week, Next 7, Month and Upcoming. "Next 7" starts on today and moves a day at a time instead of a whole week — it was already there under Settings, and this puts it where you are looking. It is the same setting in both places, so changing one changes the other. See what is underneath a task before you move it A scheduled task that has subtasks now shows a small mark and a count on the calendar, the way the planner shows an arrow beside it. Until now the calendar said nothing, so a task with three subtasks under it looked exactly like one with none. Deleting a repeating task from its first day Right-clicking the first day of a repeating task now offers "Delete Repeating Task". It used to offer only "Remove from Scheduler" — which on that one day ended the whole series rather than taking a single day off the calendar. Later days are unchanged and still offer Skip This Day and Delete This and Future. Dragging a task onto another to nest it The middle of a row is a larger target, so dropping one task onto another to make it a subtask lands where you meant it to. Checking a task off on the phone On iPhone, completing or uncompleting a task in the Schedule sometimes did not move the checkbox until something else refreshed the screen — the change was saved, but you could not see it.
