## What is Daymarker?

Every calendar day carries something. Daymarker tells you what.

Open it in the morning and you get the day's story: what happened on this date, written as a piece of prose rather than a bullet point. Some days it is a battle or a treaty. Some days it is a telescope pointed somewhere new, a song recorded in one take, or a mistake that turned out to matter. Busy dates carry several stories; quiet ones carry a single good one.

WRITTEN, NOT SCRAPED
Every story is composed for this app. Nothing is pulled from an encyclopedia and reformatted. Where a popular account is disputed or simply a legend, the text says so instead of repeating it.

THREE LANGUAGES, WRITTEN SEPARATELY
English, Turkish and Spanish are not translations of one another. Each language has its own selection of days and its own writing, so a reader in Istanbul, Madrid and Chicago each gets a calendar that makes sense from where they stand.

BUILT TO BE READ
Serif typography, generous margins, and a light and dark theme that are both actually readable — not one designed and one darkened. The app follows your system text size. There is no feed, no infinite scroll, and nothing that moves while you are reading.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE
All 366 days ship inside the app. Search works on a plane. Nothing is downloaded, and nothing is uploaded.

NOTHING IS COLLECTED
No account. No analytics. No third-party SDKs. Your saved stories and your settings never leave your device. Daily notifications are scheduled locally.

ALSO INSIDE
- A daily notification at a time you choose
- A home screen widget with today's story
- Full-text search across every day of the year
- Save the ones you want to keep
- Browse the archive by month and jump to any date

Daymarker is free, and stays free. If you want to support the writing, there is a tip jar in Settings. It changes nothing in the app — there is nothing to unlock.
