But running into a wall in the first hour of playing is a huge mistake the developers made. That’s not a thing we do in mobile games anymore. Also the camera shifting on every players turn durning battle is soooooo not needed and makes the fights Not enjoyable at all. Sticking around to see how it improves but for now, it’s a so-so game. First - why does the camera have to move so much during battle when the models aren’t even animated. Please give option for static camera. Then the arena randomly decides to make you miss every attack a dozen rounds in a row making you lose to an opponent you should have easily won against. I suffered my first loss because of this crap. Won’t go past load screen. ### 1/5 — Lost Everything *2021-03-08, version 1.221.0* I had about 5 hours of gameplay in this app. One day I opened the app to check on things, and it was all gone. I didn’t delete the app or didn’t clear any data from my phone. I just opened the app like I always do, and it started playing the opening cinematic, then started me with a fresh game. For no apparent reason. Characters are level locked based on town hall level. Long upgrade times with no ad skip. Not sure why you guys thought this was a good idea. Are we suppose to look at the game and close it after 2 minutes of gameplay? ### 2/5 — Not an RPG *2021-03-11, version 1.221.0* The gameplay is fun and the art style is really cool but this is not an RPG and shouldn’t be marketed as such. Their is no story or narrative to follow other than the fact that each character has a very brief and vague background description. How is it supposed to be an RPG when the game completely lacks any plot? When the gameplay is just waiting for buildings to upgrade and killing the same 15 enemies each mission that’s not an RPG. For example in the second “chapter” you are fighting another group of survivors rather than zombies but the game never tells you why. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Future additions *2021-07-18, version 1.241* I hope to see a clan system of sorts and more diversity in the characters, if you could throw in a randomized perk system that would be nice, as well as item modifications, that could be a whole separate building you unlock after like chapter 4 or 5. With that said I think this is a good game I like the graphics and characters. ### 4/5 — Awesome *2021-06-07, version 1.238* Would be 5 star haven’t got far don’t know if there is any clans what drop rates are like but the rewards for watching ads are awesome ### 4/5 — Worth a Try *2021-05-17, version 1.233* It’s pretty good so far but I want to re-organize my base and I can’t hopefully they add something to do that soon but I like it so far seems like it’s got a lot of room to expand ### 4/5 — Fun with drawbacks, need more to do! *2021-02-24, version 1.220.1* Feels like a clone of Shelter War: Last City (I may prefer it’s graphics over Days of Doom). So far, this game is pretty fun. It gets you right in and going, and seems similar to other “build up outpost/city” kinds of games. Characters are okay and equipment system is cool. The narrative gets a bit drowned kind of early, if there’s even one to follow. The game severely lacks customization, though brand new, and there’s not allll that much to do in the game besides wait for structures to complete building or occasionally fight in the story’s missions. It’s also frustrating that my town is level 6 and I’m still unable to build/upgrade more than one structure at a time. My biggest criticism is the gem currency (runes), which is the paid currency and required for everything in the game. They pretend to give you options at free gems, most of which consist of making a purchase or supplying personal information - this system is a huge turnoff. Even the “easy/short” gem gain options require taking surveys that are super exhaustive (not 3-5 min like advertised) or quizzes that you have to score 100% in order to obtain the gems. In other words, you can spend 15 minutes taking quizzes and not score high enough to gain your gems. Some of the questions are simple but some are pretty ridiculous - most people would not even be able to guess right, so this feels like a stalemate. Lastly, there doesn’t appear to be any type of online function, which at the moment is a bummer because like I stated previously there’s not all that much to really do in the game, yet. Overall, this is a fun little game with lots of promise. Though the game is very new and it’s early for criticism, I hope to see lots more content added soon and a revamped rune acquire system that doesn’t penalize the players for not knowing elevated trivia, or “free gems” requiring purchases. 4* for now, will come back soon to update. ### 3/5 — Lots of Potential *2021-04-27, version 1.232* I went into this game with high hopes seeing as this was marketed as an Atari game. I’m not super disappointed as I can see it’s still a work in progress. It’s currently lacking a bit of content. And the game lacks a community, I haven’t been able to get in contact with any of the people involved with the game (i.e. social media) I do believe that this game has awesome potential, but I worry that it’s going to fall down a deep pay-to-win hole. Most recently the devs had no problem adding characters that were locked behind a paywall. This came with seemingly no other content additions. Also half of the building area isn’t even able to built on due to a lack of content.
