## What is Days Strong?

Days Strong counts two things: the days you didn't, and the days you did. What
you stopped, what you started, what it is for, and how you are sleeping.

FORGETTING NEVER COSTS YOU A STREAK
Most trackers quietly punish you for not opening them: a day you did not log
becomes a day you failed. Not this one.

• Every past day stays editable, for ever. A week later or a year makes no
  difference.
• Three answers, not two. Done, slipped, and an amber "I couldn't" for illness
or travel. Amber days are skipped by the maths: they cannot break a streak or
  drag a percentage down.
• Or let it count every day for you, so something you simply keep needs no
tapping and only a slip breaks it.
• Owning a slip is one tap, and plain rather than alarming. The run you had and
your best ever both survive it.

EVERY HABIT, EVERY DAY, ON ONE SCREEN
The Habits tab draws each one as a wall of days, one under the other, so the
one going wrong is obvious without opening anything, and any day can be put
right. See them as cards if you would rather, drag them into your own order,
and group them into sets. Twelve months of squares on one page with the figures
underneath, and a week view that puts your sleep beside the days you kept.

WHAT YOU STOPPED
A live counter, down to the second, backdated to when you actually stopped.
What you have not spent, and what you have not consumed. A recovery timeline
showing what your body is doing about it and which phase you are in today, each
claim naming its source. For gambling, Learn carries the UK self-exclusion
schemes, the Gambling Helpline and a letter for closing an account. Days Strong
registers you for none of them.

WHAT YOU STARTED
Current streak, best ever streak, and one tap to record today. Every day,
chosen weekdays, or a number of times a week, which says where you stand: two
of three this week, one more by Sunday. Countable habits too: eight glasses of
water fills up as the day goes on. A badge for every seven days you hold,
across every run, so a slip can never take one back.

SLEEP, AND THE HOUR BEFORE IT
Type in a night yourself, or let Days Strong read it from Apple Health. See the
whole month, and open any night for what each stage of sleep is for. It will
not grade you: normal ranges are wide and one night says little.

The wind-down works backwards: say when you must be up and how much sleep you
want, and it says when your evening should end.

Sleep is not a habit here. No streak, no badge, no way to fail.

WHAT IT IS ALL FOR
Goals, because the counting is not the point. A money goal fills from what your
habits no longer cost you, so the cigarettes you did not buy turn into the
thing you wanted.

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN AND LOCK SCREEN
Three home screen sizes and two lock screen ones, each pointed at a habit you
choose. They count on their own, so the figure is right without opening the
app. Reminders carry your own number rather than a nudge: what you kept, and
what it is worth.

IT NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE
There is no account to make and no server to sign in to. Everything you enter
stays on your own device. No analytics, no trackers, no third-party code, no
ads. The optional Apple Health connection reads your step count and your sleep
and nothing else. Days Strong keeps an automatic backup in your own iCloud, and
your history writes out as a file you can read back elsewhere.

FREE, AND ONE PAYMENT IF YOU WANT MORE
Three habits and two goals are free for as long as you like. $4.99 once unlocks
unlimited habits, goals and the money that feeds them, and the widgets. One
payment, not a subscription, and never becomes one. Apple Health is free, and
nothing you have recorded is ever behind the payment: seeing, editing and
exporting stays free whatever you decide.

Health timelines are general guidance, not medical advice. Stopping some
substances suddenly, alcohol above all, can be dangerous, and the app says so
before showing you anything. Talk to a doctor first.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.1 — 2026-09-14

The evening reminder no longer says the same thing every day.

It led with the money you have kept, every single night. It now carries a
different true figure each evening: what you have kept, how far into a run you
are, what you have not had, and what it all saves you in a year. It only repeats
when there is genuinely nothing else to say.

Setting a reminder for one habit is now on the front of the form.

It was there before, tucked under More options, so most people never found it.
It sits with everything else now, as a switch you can see, and that habit is
nudged by name at the time you pick.

A habit can no longer show more days clean than it counts in total.

If you stopped and slipped on the same day, the big number and the total
underneath it could disagree. They now agree.

### 3.0 — 2026-09-13

The button that records your day is now impossible to miss.

On a habit you have started, recording today was a faint line of text at the
bottom of the page. It is now a full width button, and it turns green and reads
Done today once the day is in.

Your habits can be shown as stopped, started, or all of them.

The Habits tab used to list everything in one run with nothing to say which was
which. It now carries the same three way switch that Today has.

Setting a daily target is now a switch you can see.

On the form for something you have started, the daily target was a line of small
print that happened to be tappable. It is a proper switch now, and it is named
for what it does.

The top bar no longer follows you down the page.

It used to stay fixed while you scrolled, which covered the name of whichever
habit you had reached. It scrolls away with everything else now, so you see more
of your days at once.

### 2.9 — 2026-09-11

A quiet line of help, the first time you need it.

The first time you add a habit, put right a day that has passed, mark a day you
could not manage, set a money goal or open your wall of days, one short line
tells you what that screen does. It shows once and then it is gone for good.

The months above your wall now match the days underneath them.
Scroll back through your history and the months travel with it, and the year
appears once you go far enough back. They used to sit still and name the wrong
dates on any habit older than about six months.

Your days no longer flicker when the screen opens.
The wall used to draw itself very small for an instant and then jump to size.

### 2.8 — 2026-09-10

Choosing how a habit counts is where you would look for it.

"Count every day" used to be tucked away under More options while you were
adding a habit, and it went by a different name there than it does inside the
habit itself. It sits on the main form now, for something you stopped and
something you started, called the same thing in both places. You no longer have
to save a habit and go back into it to find it.

Moving a habit into a new order is smooth.
Hold a habit, move it, let go. The list used to show the old order for a moment
and then switch. It holds the new order from the moment you lift your finger.

### 2.7 — 2026-09-09

Your habits have their own tab.

Every habit, every day since you started, one under the other. You can see the
one that is going wrong without opening anything, and you can tap any day to put
it right. There is a button at the top if you would rather see them as cards.

Today is just today again.
It had grown into the day, every habit, your sleep, your money and your goals on
one screen. The habits have their own place now, so it is shorter.

Your year, in squares.
Twelve months on one page, with the figures underneath.

The things you started have caught up.
They get a best ever record, an anniversary and a day one, which only the things
you stopped used to have. They can save you money too, and pay into something
you want. It counts the days you actually did it, never the days that went past.

Your reason for stopping is finally shown to you.
The app asked why you were stopping, saved your answer, and then showed it to
nobody. It is on the habit page now, where you will see it.

The update pop-up works.
It had never once appeared for anybody who already had habits on their phone. It
tells you when there is a newer version now, and looks again whenever you come
back to the app.

And some smaller ones.
A habit you do a few times a week says where it is, so you get "2 of 3 this week.
One more by Sunday." There is a quiet line when a habit starts to slip. Your
sleep sits next to your habits on the week page. Your badges have a total. Nine
single exercises were added, and the search box has room to type in.
