I’ve looked for a replacement ever since and nothing worked as well. I left it on my phone and was able to quickly populate from an old version. Thank you. It is super easy to track events in the past as well as countdown. -1 for removing date calculator from within events. It was super easy to setup recurring events where you just added number of days, weeks, months or years to go versus having to pick a specific date. Example haircut every 5-6 weeks? Flip the week dials and it figures out target date. Easy. Now go to calc and figure out new date? ### 3/5 — sailor SD *2018-03-04, version 3.4.4* great app to log upcoming events, & easily convert those to diary of past events. App does work though and does what it claims to do. After playing with it for 15 minutes I deleted it. 0.99 cents own the drain. Oh well. It's strange that there isn't a good simple Day Countdown app in the whole App Store that either doesn't look horrible or isn't very helpful in keeping track of events. ### 3/5 — Where is the developer? *2017-07-02, version 3.4.4* This is/was a great app but..... No updates since mid 2014, developers website is no longer accessible! I originally gave it 5 stars but now it's lagging behind with no developer in sight. Let's hope the app works on iOS 11 or 3 years of information I've added to this app will be a great waste of time. Kinda makes me miss the simple and reliable old method of paper and pencil when this happens! ### 3/5 — A great app when it works *2016-08-15, version 3.4.4* Conceptually, this app has no peers. The design is clean and very functional. But it just does not sync the way it should. I am surprised that there is no replacement to this concept all these years. I hope someone come up with an alternative. ### 3/5 — nette App, aber... *2015-11-20, version 3.4.4* es gibt einen bug: Wenn man ein Datum/Event in Annual eingibt und ihn dann in die Days To Go Liste kopiert, erscheinen nicht die days to go bis zum nächsten Event, sondern die vergangenen Tage seit dem ursprünglichen Event, also z.B. Hochzeitstag: 1.3.1965 in Annual-> copy to Days to go: zeigt nicht an wie viele Tage bis zum nächsten Hochzeitstag noch fehlen (next Event), sondern wie viele seitdem vergangen sind. Als next Event erscheint also nicht 1.3.2011 sondern der 1.3.1965. Dies wird in beiden Listen so angezeigt, einmal als positiver Wert und einmal als negativer Wert. Schade. Sollte nachgebessert werden. Leider funktioniert auch folgendes Szenario nicht automatisiert: Abschluss eines Vertrages, der in 2 Jahren endet und mit 3-monatiger Kündigungsfrist gekündigt werden muss, weil er sich ansonsten verlängert. Man muss sich im Vorfeld den genauen Termin errechnen, an dem man erinnert werden möchte, da die Funktion der Erinnerung nur bis 9 Tage vorher möglich ist. Es reicht also nicht zu sagen, Vertrag vom 1.1.2011, gültig 2 Jahre, 3 Monate vor Beendigung erinnern. Hierbei interessiert herzlich wenig wie viele Tage noch fehlen und die normale Kalender App vom iPhone erinnert mich auch an den Termin. Kategorien können beliebig (also auch in der eigenen Sprache) hinzugefügt und später wieder abgerufen werden. Daher ist die App mit Erinnerungsfunktion und Berechnung von Jahren/Monaten/Tagen eine nette, durchaus reizvolle Spielerei, aber noch nicht ausgereift genug. Nachtrag 20.11.2015 Nach Update auf iOS 9.1 waren alle Daten weg…no comment. Ich kann nur empfehlen, vor jedem Update der App oder des iOS ein Backup zu ziehen. Ich hatte es diesmal vergessen… ### 3/5 — This is a great app but... *2015-11-03, version 3.4.4* I've used this for years but somewhere along the way (possibly with the OS 9 update?) it did wipe out the dates that were in it. When I loaded it up yesterday to update an event, it had all my calendars (which I don't use in it and didn't turn on that I can recall) but no non-calendar data. I swear I had more recent backups, but couldn't find one for later than late 2014. I was able to load the backup and will have to update it as goes. The app itself seems to still be functioning like it used to otherwise. Currently does not offer AM/PM designations. Maybe I can't locate the switch, but that's a major issue for me. UPDATE: emailed the dev and was told you can change this through the phone's settings. This is a lie. Within the app itself, there is no way to turn off the 24-hour calendar. It still shows events running from 0600 - 1300. Bummer. I also use it to look back on milestones ie days since divorce, since started job, purchase of warranty items. Allows easy date editing for repeated events. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Changes dates! *2017-06-27, version 3.4.4* I'm done with this app. I've missed milestone birthdays and anniversaries because it keeps changing the years. Looking for a replacement. Worthless. I've entered all the dates of household improvements & purchases such as appliances. I've entered notes including cost and who did the work. It's now all in one accessible place. Birthdays & anniversaries are handy also. By entering birth or marriage year, I can see at a glance when a milestone birthday or anniversary is approaching. And I just realized I can use it for medical info, too. I'll be entering that next! ### 1/5 — Used to love it... *2015-09-17, version 3.4.4* It was fabulous, until this week. Very slow to load dates if at all and clunky scrolling add to the poor experience. Don't waste your time with this app! ### 1/5 — From 5 stars to 1 star *2014-03-25, version 3.3.1* Until the recent updates I would have given this app an unconditional 5 stars because it was simple to use and did everything I needed. Now it quits after less than a minute, not even allowing me enough time to add a new entry. I have to add a few items, save the data, and then restart the app to complete the entry. The primary reason I purchased this app is because it ran independently of other apps. Now it searches the Calendar and picks up information and makes adjustments in the data I put into it. This may be fine for people who always live in only one time zone. I travel a lot and sometimes live for several months in either Europe or Asia. Whenever I am in Asia all the dates are off by one day. And the entries I make while in Asia are off by one day after I return to the States. It didn't used to be that way. Now it is frustrating to use and I am looking around for a replacement app. I don't care for the iCloud capability, but I can turn off that part. It was a very good, very usable app, but now it has become a bother to work with. I used to recommend it to others, but not anymore. Even the "write a review" process is difficult. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2013-12-08, version 3.2.1* Only syncs with calenders in all+ cal. Days past, days to go and annual have to be entered manually. All tab does list days to go and past but you cannot add categories. To search in all you have to remember how you titled an entry. How can I delete whys I no longer want or need? I found I could delete only the names dates that had more information than birthdays which shows up multiple times ie face book, birthday, and regular calendars some shows on appt calendar. Highly recommended after trying many other, similar apps. Easy to pull in events from the calendar. Calculates days to; days since, etc.. Very polished. Some programs give the hours and minutes in the calculation- which I find to be a nuisance. I put in a test event for tomorrow and today it shows one day from now-just what I want (not a ridiculous zero days, 12 hours, 19 minutes and 50 seconds). I can find nothing wrong with this program and I don't understand some of the other unfounded complaints. Try it, you'll love the program. ### 5/5 — Ein sehr gutes Tool zur Erinnerung an Termine... *2015-06-13, version 3.4.4* Ich habe lange gesucht und viele Apps ausprobiert, aber Days ist mit Abstand das Beste, was ich gefunden habe. Wiederkehrende Erinnerungen wie Geburtstage, Namenstage, Jubiläen, Gedenktage, Todestage, Hochzeitstage und Anderes sind mit keiner anderen App. so gut zu verwalten und zu untergliedern. Das trifft vor allem zu, wenn man viele solche Ereignisse verwalten will. So lassen sich beliebig viele Kategorien anlegen, wie z.B. Geburtstage Familie; Geburtstage Freunde, Geburtstage Sonstige usw. die einzeln nach den Kriterien alphabetisch, aufsteigend oder absteigend durchsucht werden können. Auch eine Volltextsuche ist möglich. Super finde ich, dass zu jedem Ereignis beliebige Notizen angelegt werden können, wie z.B. Geschenkwünsche Geschenkideen oder erfolgte Geschenke, besondere Interessen, gemeinsame Erinnerungen usw. Der Phantasie sind hier keine Grenzen gesetzt. Die App Days lässt sich auch einsetzen um bevorstehende bzw. zurückliegende Ereignisse zu verfolgen. Auch hier ist interessant, das Days nicht nur mit dem Datum rechnet, sondern die Tage auswirft, die vor dem Ereignis liegen, oder die seit dem Ereignis zurückliegen. Es gibt einen Malus: Die Synchronisation von iPhone mit dem iPad über iCloud funktioniert bei mir nicht. Ich habe mit dem Entwickler Naim Choudhry umfangreich hierüber korrespondiert, und er hat sich alle Mühe gegeben, das Problem zu lösen. Naim versteht nicht, warum das Problem bei mir ist, wo es bei vielen anderen Usern funktioniert. Sollten Andere auch meine Erfahrung machen, schreibt Naim ein Mail, so wird er hoffentlich bald die Ursache identifizieren können.
