## What is DaySteps?

DaySteps is a visual schedule for every level of support, from one guided step at a time to a simple checklist. Build a routine once, then adjust the structure as needs change.

Use it for mornings, homework, transitions, chores, bedtime, or any part of the day that keeps turning into another reminder.

Parents create the structure. Kids see a clear next step, a visual timer when it helps, and calm completion feedback. Teens and adults can use the same tools to run their own day.

ONE CLEAR STEP AT A TIME

In Guided Mode, DaySteps shows one clear, finishable step. The full routine does not have to compete for attention, and the next step does not always have to come from another verbal reminder.

When less support is needed, Checklist Mode keeps the full sequence visible.

TIME YOU CAN SEE

Add a gentle visual countdown to any step. When time runs out, there is no failure state or harsh alarm. The step simply stays ready to finish.

SUPPORT THAT ADJUSTS

Parents choose how much of the routine a child sees, which tools are available, and how independently the child moves through the day. Support can change as needs change, without rebuilding the routine.

CALM BY DESIGN

No points. No streaks. Nothing to lose on a hard day.

DaySteps does not use child-facing badges, negative sounds, or red failure states. Progress is acknowledged in the moment without turning a hard day into something to make up.

BUILT FOR CARE TEAMS, WITH PARENTS IN CONTROL

Parents create routines and choose what to share. A connected clinician can view shared routine patterns and send a structured suggestion for a specific, parent-created routine. The parent approves or declines every suggestion before anything changes for the child.

Educators can connect to run structured classroom sessions.

FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS

* Parents: build routines, follow along, and see patterns over time
* Kids: use PIN-protected Child Mode with only the tools a parent enables
* Teens and adults: use the same calm structure for their own day
* Clinicians: support families between appointments while parents stay in control

DaySteps is grounded in published executive function research and designed for people with ADHD, autism, and other executive function differences. It is a support tool, not a treatment, diagnostic, or cure.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No ads. No selling personal data. Children do not need their own account, and nothing about a child is shared without explicit parent consent.

FREE TO START

Create unlimited routines and use the core DaySteps experience for free. DaySteps Family adds full calendar views, Insights history, templates, and calendar sync. ### 5/5 — Incredibly helpful!!!

*2026-08-07*

DaySteps has been incredibly helpful in supporting my kiddo with their tasks on a daily basis! Even this early on in using the app I can already tell it’s going to remain a big part of lives for years to come!

### 5/5 — Easy and Dynamic!!

*2026-08-06*

Finally a better solution to a calendar to drive routine. Really dynamic and important to be able to add people to help build routine. Well done!

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-08-06*

As a parent of a child with special needs, I wish I would’ve had this app years ago. My daughter has always craved structure and this app provides it and makes it easy to implement. My favorite feature is the ability to build a team so everyone who is helping take care of her is on the same page and keeping her on track and focused. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Better than skylight!!

*2026-08-05*

Syncs to my calendar perfectly and is way more functional than the skylight calendar! Love that I can have a shared to do list with each of my kids and send them reminders when it is due along with the ability for me to rank what’s most important to get done so they have an easy way of getting started.

### 5/5 — Finally something to replace my notes app!

*2026-08-05*

I’ve been looking for something like this app for a while now. It’s simple to create tasks and routines, plus I’ve found myself actually wanting to come back in to check off what I’ve accomplished for the day. Great app for anybody looking to eliminate the hundreds of notes app to-do lists or wanting to build stronger habits!

### 5/5 — This app actually helped me stay on track!

*2026-08-05*

After a few weeks, I’ve found that this app is more effective than others for a few reasons; it’s very user-friendly, the colors are calming, and most importantly it’s easy to stay organized/on track. Highly recommend!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-10-22

Avatars are now created right on your device, so the avatar builder works even when you’re offline.

Crash reports now leave out screen titles, so names you type stay on your device.

The Practice plan screen now explains that client connections are coming soon.

Small fixes and improvements.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-30

Routines now follow you wherever you are.

A 6:00 PM routine stays at 6:00 PM, even when you travel or change time zones. Reminders adjust with your device.

If you support a child in a different time zone, a small label shows whose time you're looking at.

Also in this update: switching between accounts on one device now loads the right information straight away, and skipped days on a routine stay on the day you picked.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-26

This update improves reliability behind the scenes — routine syncing across devices is more consistent, sign-in is more stable, and Focus session music works correctly again. No changes to how DaySteps looks or works day to day.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-21

This update makes DaySteps more flexible across routines, focus, calendars, and to-do lists.

• Clinical Library: Clinicians can now access their library at any time and run routines live during sessions. No client connection is required.

• Focus Timer: More flexible sessions, calmer completion screens, and optional Spotify integration for focus audio.

• Calendar: Color-coded categories, redesigned event creation, and more reliable syncing with Google and Outlook calendars.

• To-Do Lists: Multiple display modes, quick add, drag-to-reorder, and categories for each list.

• Reliability: Dozens of fixes and refinements, including a fix for a crash affecting some users at launch and smoother Child Mode navigation.

Thank you for using DaySteps. Your feedback continues to shape what we build.
