### 5/5 — So many uses!

*2026-08-15*

I’ve had the app for just a day, and I’ve already thought of so many uses. I love the clean design and clear functionality. I’m already using to track fitness streaks, count down on work projects, keep track of upcoming birthdays, and checking in on fun reminders, like how many days I’ve been on this earth. The developer is already incorporating feedback and deserves props for making a fun, clean, useful app without ads or unnecessary permissions. Thank you Lee!

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-22

Milestone days now look like milestones. The day you've been counting down to reads "Today" instead of zero, and round-number days — 100, 365,
1,000 — stand out on your Home Screen widget and in your list.
You can also turn on a reminder for anything you're counting down to, and
Dayward will tell you on the morning it arrives. Reminders are scheduled
on your device and never leave it — and they don't name the event, so
nothing private ends up on your lock screen.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-15

Barrett had a field day with this one. Widgets are now configurable. Each widget picks its own event, so you can add one for every date you're following — or stack them together and swipe between them.

Because of that change, the single "featured event" setting is gone. If you already have a Dayward widget on your Home Screen, it will ask you to choose an event: long press it, tap Edit Widget, and pick.

Also in this update:
- Drag your events into any order
- Enter a date as "100 days from now" instead of hunting for it on the calendar
- No more Since/Until switch — a future date counts down, a past one counts up
- Better contrast throughout the event editor in dark mode

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-14

Look & feel updates, removed seeded events so new users get a clean start.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-13

No release notes.
