You have to pay for a subscription just to use one filter on the app. And even if you download the app, it'll find a way to take your money. However, after I uninstalled the app on my iPhone and reinstalled it, I suddenly noticed that there is now a limit on how many pictures you can take per day. If you want unlimited access, you now have to subscribe and pay for a plan. This change is very disappointing. Limiting basic features like this after previously offering them freely feels unfair. My experience with Daze Cam has been absolutely stressful. I started a Premium Yearly free trial on October 9, 2025, and it ended on October 12, 2025. I canceled within the trial, but four days later, on October 16, 2025, I was charged $34.99 for a one-year subscription (that I did not approve of or initiate). The subscription now shows as active through October 12, 2026, even though I canceled during the trial period, and my Apple account reflects this whole timeline. The most concerning part is that the free trial and subscription details disappeared from the app afterwards, on my device and for others who tried separately. There are no visible prices, trial info, or payment plans anywhere in the app or on the storefront as of late 2025. People have no way to see up front what they will be charged or when. This makes the app look intentionally deceptive. It’s also suspicious that Daze Cam hardly advertises itself. There’s little to no active promotion, and the developers do not respond to inquiries visibly. Compared to other popular camera apps, Daze Cam looks like it’s hiding its tracks. The app does not explain or provide any way to verify or dispute charges. From my research and what others are saying, this app’s approach to subscriptions looks scammy and designed to avoid accountability. The lack of communication, missing payment information, sudden UI changes, and hidden subscription details show a business that is not being honest. Please avoid this app, I’m currently having to work with Apple my and bank to make a report of this charge and company. If you value your money and want to avoid surprise charges, steer clear of Daze Cam. It’s not transparent, does not show its terms, and it’s set up to steal your money. ### 1/5 — It used to be really good. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. *2025-10-18* I've been using the app for almost 3 years. Unfortunately, more and more unnecessary features have been added recently, which make the app seem cheap. The design is no longer minimalistic.
