Also, no designation whether or not how the measurement is weighted. Most apps have a calibration feature to match the apps reading to another standard ( due to variations in microphone , pick up through various cases etc.). Could be nice but no cigar. ### 3/5 — Max? Peak? Average? *2016-02-02* Other than the fact that there is no definition of the terms used (peak, max) or explanation of how they weight the acoustic spectrum as sensed by the iPhone microphone in calculating a sound pressure level, I find it to be an easy to use app for comparing different ambient environments. The accuracy seems to be good and the repeatability excellent. The UI is fairly obvious. The UI is great with a very flat and clean look and is just pleasing to work with.
