## What is DBIN?

DBIN helps you spot and find Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals around you. Scan what's nearby, claim the advertisements that belong to you, and search again with live signal strength — without accounts, ads, or cloud sync.

SEE WHAT'S AROUND YOU
• Lists BLE advertisements in range while you use the app
• Sort and filter by signal strength or name
• Strongest signals rise to the top as you move

CLAIM WHAT'S YOURS
• Name each signal and pick a type (keys, wallet, headphones, and more)
• My devices keeps claimed items even when they're out of range
• Activity log records when devices come back or leave range

SEARCH WITH CONTEXT
• Estimated distance from signal strength (approximate)
• Map last-seen area for claimed devices when location access is allowed
• Detail view updates as you walk toward a signal

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Claims and activity stay on your iPhone
• No login required
• Privacy policy in Settings

NOTIFICATIONS
• Optional local alerts for claimed devices while you use the app (not background tracking)

What DBIN can and can't find
DBIN uses iOS Bluetooth scanning for BLE peripherals that broadcast nearby. It does not discover classic Bluetooth-only devices, hidden paired accessories, or proprietary trackers locked to other apps (including Apple Find My). Many phones, tags, and accessories work; some gear never appears because it does not advertise BLE or is not exposed to third-party apps.

DBIN is a helper for BLE signals you claim. It does not replace manufacturer apps or Find My. Distance is estimated from signal strength and depends on your surroundings.
