### 2/5 — Could be better

*2015-08-06, version 1.4*

Feeling a little bit disappointed with this app - there needs to be more in it for the money - it could cover more relational skills such as g.i.v.e

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don't appreciate the use of certain language

*2020-01-03*

I only just downloaded this app, and am still interested in using it, but within the first couple of minutes of reading an example on it, I came across the phrase "whipped boyfriend." I think the use of this phrase is triggering, potentially sexist and misguidedly judgmental toward men's partners.... especially in a DBT app, I would have appreciated more attention to non-judgmental, non-harmful language. I hope you'll take this feedback to heart. Thank you.

### 1/5 — App configuration

*2018-03-29, version 1.7*

The print in the app is too small. The Dearman page could not be submitted. This app lacked substance with very little in the way of teaching in relation to what has been paid.
More guidance and examples would be of a significant benefit here and it would make me feel great if the issues could be mended.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2017-02-25*

Once opened interpersonal myths there is no option to exit or go any further, just stuck there. So the app is pretty much useless. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Beware of this Scam!!

*2016-03-13*

This app is a scam. Just a few lines copied from the Internet. Minute letters, awful presentation.... No real tool or tracking!! Completely useless!

This app is a BIG SCAM!! , and it had to be made with fraudulent intentions, just to take $$$ from App Store customers!!!

It should be removed from the App Store. I can't believe I paid $22.99 for this bundle. Even if it was free, still garbage!

### 1/5 — No stand alone app

*2016-01-01, version 1.5*

This is not effective as a stand alone app and without a working understanding of dbt it will not be useful. Also there are no interactive features and it appears geared toward further product purchases.

### 1/5 — Not very useful

*2015-07-02*

This app isn't very useful without the 4 other apps. It should have just been one since DBT is such a complex type of treatment. Save your money.

### 1/5 — Font needs to expand to be helpful

*2014-12-17*

Can't read most of it!! Please make it expand - otherwise your good work especially in summation is useless.

### 2/5 — Stop hard sell

*2016-05-15*

Good app, but v. annoying to pay $22+ for 4 app bundle and still be constantly urged to spend another $5 per app to "upgrade" or to buy "continues" or to go ad free. Not sure why original purchase did not accomplish all of these in the first place.

Teaching the emotionally vulnerable and in distress how to tolerate their distress while gratuitously creating more (in the form of therapy-interrupting ads or lesson terminations to force a purchase) every 3 or 4 minutes...

Not cool. Just let customers pay up front. Showing more sensitivity for and to your customers is probably in order here.

### 2/5 — Not solid in it's own.

*2016-04-09*

It only has s couple of features and you need to apply them to other techniques, not included. Complicated for a person trying to work out concerns.

### 2/5 — Great app... but...

*2015-09-14*

Great app for identifying and working with emotions. Unfortunately, there seems to be some problems with the actual processing of the information entered. I spent a while working on a DEAR MAN exercise and when I went to save it,there were problems doing so ( ie - I clicked save and nothing was saved).i went back and tried the same entry again, only to get s second error msg. Very frustrating. I'm glad I tried this out before recommending it to clients.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent and useful

*2016-10-04*

The DEARMAN builder is a great way to breakdown and use the DBT tool

### 5/5 — Good stuff!

*2014-01-07*

Totally worth it! If you are familiar with DBT, or even if you aren't, this app is great. Its simple advice and guidance will hep you improve your assertiveness skills!

### 4/5 — Bigger text

*2016-06-17*

Great concept and layout but it's very very hard to see the text as its so small! Please work on making text bigger!

### 4/5 — Very user friendly

*2015-03-13*

Great interface. Works well along side DBT group. App has bug that prevents saving DEARMANS.

### 3/5 — Text is hard to read

*2017-12-07*

I generally don’t have problems with reading small text but it’s REALLY small on all the apps. It’s unfortunate because the information is valuable & helpful but if it’s not easily accessible, it becomes rather pointless.

**Developer response:** Hi Sillafox!

Thanks for reviewing this app, I really appreciate it :) I’m coming out with a new version of this and my other DBT apps which should have a better font size for everything by default. But even if it’s not big enough, that’s okay because the new version will support dynamic text. This means that if you set your text sizes to be larger using the Settings app, then the text will be larger in this app as well! So whether you need a standard 12-17 point font, or prefer a much larger 32 point font, this update should fix this issue.

Oh, and there are lots more features as well. But I’ll let the apps speak for themselves when they’re released.

Thank you again and good luck on your DBT practice!

### 3/5 — OK, but readability is poor

*2015-05-01*

Not enough in app to really teach DBT skills, but does help practice. Interface often has background graphics or super tiny print that makes it VERY difficult to read. Cannot expand view to improve readability. Needs some improvements.

### 3/5 — Some good ideas and tools

*2014-02-21, version 1.0*

The way some of the scenarios are worded in the validation quiz are not great so these could be improved because they are not 100% inclusive eg using wife rather than partner. Also more validation examples would be great. The intensity calculator is excellent
