### 5/5 — It works!

*2020-02-28, version 4.0.13*

I downloaded this app, not expecting it to work so well for my everyday life. It has helpful audio that I listen to as I fall asleep, which can be somewhat hypnotic as I listen intently and soak in the message.

Today, I got very angry over something small but using the crisis anger action and reading and following the exercises instead of being angry for the rest of the day/week I managed to calm down within 15 minutes. That’s groundbreaking for me, and I’m so thankful for this app.

If your struggle with BPD, I’d recommend this app 100%.

### 5/5 — Saves me during crisis and great DBT skills reminder

*2020-02-11, version 4.0.13*

This is a great app that is easy to use, free and focuses on the four DBT modules. I’ve used this daily and on the occasion that I am in distress. Features that I love are the recorded guided mindfulness practices and the Crisis section, where I can click on it and depending on what I’m experiencing, it routes me to the set of skills that will help me. I’ve tried so many DBT apps and by far this has been the most life changing and helpful. To the developers— please allow users to donate to you as a form of thanks. Thank you for creating this.

### 5/5 — Simple and resourceful!

*2020-01-14, version 4.0.13*

I found this app very resourceful as a quick reference guide "on the go". Good categorized descriptions of the skills for quick reference. Includes an easy to use and customizable daily diary. And it has some recorded guided exercises for breathing, mindfulness, and other skills. Beats all of the other DBT apps on here so far. And it’s free! *****

### 5/5 — Stripped down, but WOW.

*2019-09-01, version 4.0.11*

No frills, and the English is very slightly...well maybe it’s just not American that I’m used to. But it seems to comprehensively cover all skills I vaguely remember learning when I did DBT 15+ years ago. I can’t believe they are able to provide this for free and judging from how few reviews there are, nobody knows about it! I just downloaded it and haven’t gotten into it much yet, but so far it seems amazing.

### 5/5 — Perfect pocket companion!

*2018-12-08, version 4.0.8*

What a perfect pocket companion to practice using DBT skills! It’s hard to remember to use them or which ones to use when you’re “in a moment.” Especially a year outside of therapy. Thanks for this!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant app! Absolutely amazing

*2017-09-11, version 3.1.0*

Thank you so much for your wonderful app! There are a few more skills I would like to see on there but otherwise it's pretty darn close to perfect. I like how you have explanations of skills. That's helpful. Keep up the great work

### 5/5 — The best dbt app

*2017-08-25, version 3.0.1*

I've tried them all and this one is my favorite.
Plus, it's free (as of right now) and I haven't noticed any spelling errors unlike the other ones. I never leave reviews for apps but this one is so great that I felt compelled to give it a five-star review.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2024-06-20, version 4.0.17*

Not helpful.

### 1/5 — Advies or Davies

*2020-06-28, version 4.0.13*

Don’t like the app but love that it scrambles my name!

### 1/5 — Negative language used within the app

*2017-11-24, version 3.1.3*

In the interpersonal skills section words like manipulative appear suicidal behaviour is not manipulative and the reason many bpd patients have a tough outer shell is because their insides are so soft and fragile they’d leak everywhere if they didn’t have a shell. Bpd patients suffered significant trauma and those phrases are retraumatising #TraumaNotPD

### 3/5 — Not working

*2024-06-05, version 4.0.17*

I love this app… but I can’t send the data to
My therapist. The button isn’t working to send email or report error.

### 3/5 — Great concept

*2019-03-08, version 4.0.10*

This app has achieved a fairly nice layout. I feel as if the diary entry options may have to be fleshed out more, and easier access to all skills and their applicable situation. Perhaps add an “overall” feeling to the days, indicated with an emoticon or something similar. So far, I haven’t encountered any bugs. I enjoy this app, and I thank the developers for taking the time to make it.

### 4/5 — Help!

*2018-10-05, version 3.1.4*

The sound isn’t working on the audio but the rest of the app looks really helpful! Please fix this, I want to use it to its full extent!

### 4/5 — Really love this app but...

*2018-03-09, version 3.1.4*

The audio doesn’t play! Can’t contact support as ‘ safari cannot open this page’! As a BPD lifer I’ve found this app invaluable as it runs alongside and slots in nicely with things I learnt in my previous DBT and mindfulness sessions. Please sort the audio then I can give this 5 * 😊 thanks again 😊

### 4/5 — A little rough, but great content!

*2018-02-23, version 3.1.4*

This has a fantastic behavioral chain analysis function which I haven’t found in the other dbt apps. It’s not the easiest app ever, but definitely worth it! I’m listing the below issues for the developers... Its clunky. The fields for writing aren’t user friendly... the cursor won’t jump back, so you have to delete all the way back to something if you want to change it, it identifies misspelled words but offers no correction tools, and you can’t cut and paste. Also, some of the language seems translated by a computer from another language (Dutch?). I don’t really mind that it’s awkward, but there are a couple places where it makes no sense and limited my ability to utilize the area. Great content- thanks!

### 4/5 — Best

*2017-12-25, version 3.1.4*

This is probably my favorite DBT app. I don’t even use the others. My only complaint thus far is on the chain of analysis. It would not let me go back and delete over one line so I could replace my text. It would also be nice if there was an option to email it to myself so I could print it.

### 5/5 — Excellent DBT resource

*2025-01-25, version 4.0.17*

I have been using g this app for many years. I always refer to it when I am in distress or just bored. It has helped me tremendously.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2024-11-21, version 4.0.17*

Have tried endless mindfulness courses but the version of mindfulness described here is different. I’ve tried using wise mind now a number of times and each time was a success. Am learning about all the skills. Thank you so much

### 5/5 — underrated

*2024-11-04, version 4.0.17*

great app. deserves thousands of reviews. used it almost daily for years and years now. track mood and problem behaviours. good audio meditations. good explanations of skills.

### 5/5 — Comprehensive

*2024-04-25, version 4.0.17*

The first comprehensive DBT app I found with no paywall. Thank you for creating this.

### 5/5 — Complete DBT resource, excellent usability (and FREE!)

*2023-11-22, version 4.0.17*

- Very closely aligned to intended structure of DBT
- List of all modules and skills that come under them, and how to actually practice them. Useful graph summaries to track progress.
- Daily diary card that you can easily modify for personal target behaviour and export easily to share with your care provider.
- Section on crises and which DBT skills to employ.
- Helpful audio guides all in one place.
- Can do a behavioural chain analysis in-app which is very helpful.
Overall 5/5, simple design that is user friendly and very closely aligned with most DBT courses.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2022-07-15*

Have tried endless mindfulness courses but the version of mindfulness described here is different. I’ve tried using wise mind now a number of times and each time was a success. Am learning about all the skills. Thank you so much

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2022-07-06, version 4.0.15*

This app really has everything. It is so nice to have all the DBT skills right on my phone to refer to at any time. The one small thing that could be improved would be the font color and size. It’s all in gray and small when you click on a skill category. It can be hard to read. Other than that, it’s perfect.

### 5/5 — Life changing

*2022-02-18, version 4.0.15*

Not knowing what was wrong with me for 30 years, this is the first time I’ve been able to hold the answer to emotional regulation in my hands. Literally saved my life a few times, or at least saved me from self harm.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2021-07-06, version 4.0.15*

Best DBT app I have found. I love the simplicity and clear short summaries. Amazing that you can share all the data by emailing it, and I really appreciate the fact that it’s free. The Crisis section where you choose your emotion and get suggested a skill is really well done, and goes some way to help train the user to become their own therapists.
In terms of possible improvements, it’s great as is but in a perfect world it would be wonderful if users could tailor the ‘alcohol’, ‘drugs’ section to suit their needs and target behaviours. Drug use might not be a problem, but bingeing or excessive exercise might be the problem instead. Also being able to write a few notes alongside ticking the skill that has been used could be good just to jog the user’s memory when looking back at the charts so they can see more detail on how they used the skill if they wanted to add that in.
But it’s great! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2020-09-22, version 4.0.13*

This app is incredible!!! Such a helpful adjunct to Comprehensive DBT. Thank you!
