Enter DC Metro ETA. It’s a beautiful, clean interface that uses the metro map that we all know and love. No scrolling to find stations, no glitchiness, no ads. Just pure convenience. This brings that back, and also defaults to your nearest station, which makes total sense since I only check it when I’m walking to/waiting in a station. I love the clean, Metro-themed aesthetic, and it is brilliant how it displays times exactly as they appear on station platforms. The ability to geolocate and instantly show information for the nearest station makes it incredibly useful for someone like me who combines cycling with transit. Being an independent project built with WMATA data, it is a well-deserved five-star tool. Just tap a station on the system map to see upcoming train times. No clutter, no trip planner that I don’t need because I already know where I’m going; just a fast, easy way to get to the estimates for each station with a clean, appealing design.
