My stop (Mass Ave and 5th St NW) doesn’t even exist on the app despite that it existed before and after the changes ### 3/5 — It’s some times helpful. *2018-08-26, version 6.03* Sometimes it shows ghosts buses, When there are no buses at some stops like stop I’d 1000758. Some stops never show up. Accurate as far as buses but a pain to maintain. ### 3/5 — Pretty good but where is Ride On? *2014-12-17* This is a pretty good app overall. The bus timing seems accurate and the stations are clearly marked. Being able to select a route and highlight it on the map is fantastic, and something I desperately want in the Metro app. Including it differentiates this app. However, the Ride On buses seem non-existent. Even once you turn them on in "settings" they don't show up. This is unfortunate, as I was really looking for an app that can handle the Ride On buses smoothly. Finally, there's no option to search by station or by route. If that was included, this would be by far the best DC area bus app. ### 2/5 — Limited usefulness *2014-09-28, version 4.05* For some reason it doesn't seem to work for many (definitely running) bus lines at night. My other apps detect a bus arriving but not this one, I often get "no bus detected" for certain bus lines. Next thing you know, a bus shows up. Add to this annoyance, the fact it asks you to "download new stops database" every time you open the app, and it takes a minute or more, and then often fails that operation. ### 3/5 — Too many updates *2014-08-21, version 4.05* This app is useful but every time I open it up it tells me I need to update the stops. This takes almost a minute each time. Not practical and very annoying for someone who is in a hurry. ### 1/5 — Waste of Money, garbage *2014-03-23, version 4.03* Don't buy, this application, most if the bus stops I tried to check for next bus don't work. I tried to get my money back and there is no way to get it back. I don't know how apple after Jobs allows these junk apps to be placed in the AppStore. ### 2/5 — Does exactly what it says *2014-01-15, version 4.02* Sure, it SHOWS the location of bus stops. That's great and all, but what if I'm trying to get from one place to another? I'm just trying to figure out which buses to take and where to transfer. It takes forever trying to scroll throughout the map finding the locations. Ever since they updated the user interface, it’s been nothing but glitchy. Now it doesn’t show bus times for any stop at all. It’s really a shame, for about 10 years I used this app everyday. ### 1/5 — DO NOT UPDATE! *2025-12-09* Latest update doesn’t seem to interface with WMATA data and shows every bus stop as having no arrivals. It tells you when then buses are supposed to be there with no connection to reality. I don't know why all bus route apps don't work this way. It is so much faster to use when you at elsewhere in town besides your home and work bus stops. Accuracy of the arrival data is as good as it can be considering the shoddiness of WMATA's NextBus predictions. Let us all hope one day WMATA moves to real time bus tracking so we don't have to wait for a bus that doesn't come. ### 5/5 — Works Great *2015-04-23, version 5.03* Like this one compared to the other ones, interface is awesome. One suggestion though, manual refresh button lacking. Shows stops in map layout so easy to find stops. Shows all upcoming buses at that stop regardless of line. Also displays the full tour on the map to easily help you plan a trip.
