## What is dCal?

dCal is a local-first schedule keeper. Everything stays on your Mac and iPhone — no data is ever sent to the cloud.

■ Truly local — proven, not just promised
dCal has no network connectivity. macOS App Sandbox denies the app any network entitlement, so it cannot reach any server technically. Perfect for confidential meetings, sensitive client schedules, or anyone who values their privacy.

■ See four weeks at a glance
The signature 3–6 week grid view shows long-running projects as continuous lines, never broken at month boundaries — something Apple Calendar can't do.

■ Notes, not just events
Each day cell can hold unlimited rich text — meeting minutes, work logs, family notes. Bold, italic, underline, color formatting. Full-text search across all your notes.

■ Windows hyCalendar compatible
Opens .cal files from hyCalendar (Windows freeware) byte-for-byte unchanged. Edit on Mac, save, and the file remains identical.

■ Japanese holidays built-in
Including substitute holidays and citizens' holidays. Computed from the official rules; no online lookup required. Valid 1980–2099.

■ Fast search (⌘F)
Find any keyword across day notes and period event titles. Highlighted matches, sorted by date.

Version 1.0.1 polishes the UI in response to the very first round
of feedback after launch.
Improvements
• When you pick a month in the year/month popover, the calendar
  now opens with that month's first week at the top — so picking
  "October" actually puts you AT October from day 1. Mac and iPhone.
• On Mac, the right-arrow button in the year selector no longer
  hides off-screen.
• On Mac, the search panel now closes when you click outside it.
Fixes
• In English UI, the centred search placeholder no longer leaks
  the Japanese fallback "キーワードを入力してください".
