## What is DCircuit Lab?

DCircuit Lab is a tool to simulate combinatorial and sequential digital circuits.

Circuits can be simulated in two ways:

1) one single step: all the outputs values are evaluated at the same time

2) step by step: outputs and gates are evaluated one step a time

If circuit contains clock inputs, its simulation is dynamic. This means that outputs change accordingly to the clocks. During this dynamic simulation, user can change inputs values to study the circuit behavior which is also provided via a timing chart.

Circuits are built using basic components, gates and flip-flops:

   * inputs (three state: 1, 0, X - undefined)
   * outputs
   * wires
   * NOT, AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR gates with any number of inputs
   * Flip-flop RS, JK, T, D (Positive or Negative Edge Triggered and with Set and Reset Inputs)
   * Multiplexers with any number of inputs
   * Demultiplexers with any number of outputs
   * Fully configurable Clocks
   * Custom Components defined by their truth table
   * BCD to 7 Segments Display Decoder
   * 7 Segments Display

Some video tutorials are available directly from the application to learn how to use it.

### 1/5 — My

*2014-08-25*

Complete waste of money!!! Almost impossible to use, keeps on crashing and has a very limited selection of circuits!

### 1/5 — Brakes when i want to build an input :(

*2013-10-23*

I can't build circuits on my 3GS!!!!
When I want to set an input app closes and some gates DON'T work!!
Pls update then 5 stars

### 2/5 — Mostly unusable

*2012-07-08*

If you tap on the name of a circuit on the Available Circuits display (the initial display), up pops a dialog box that lets you change the name (the current name is in the text field in the dialog box). If you don't change the name, the circuit is silently deleted. That tells you everything you need to know about how little effort has gone into making this app usable.

### 2/5 — Update for iPad 2

*2011-04-19*

Program works ok. Update for HD on ipad2.

### 5/5 — AESOME!!!

*2011-02-10*

This is the perfect app for any logic circuit creator. This is awesome!

### 2/5 — Needs subcircuits

*2010-10-17*

Without the ability to include circuits within circuits, not very useful.

### 1/5 — Crashing!!!!!!!!!!

*2010-09-30*

It crashes! No fix yet!!!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2010-09-25*

It crashes way too much! Needs to be able to give you an equation at the end!

### 1/5 — Bad

*2010-09-22*

Really bad app. Hard to use, interface is confusing. Do not recommend this app.

## Frequently asked questions about DCircuit Lab

### What types of circuits can DCircuit Lab simulate?

DCircuit Lab allows for the simulation of both combinatorial and sequential digital circuits. This includes a wide array of components like logic gates, flip-flops, multiplexers, and custom components defined by truth tables.
