I now have to use my iMac to control using tidal. Everything is listed as it was entered. The list of albums under an artist could have more details and filters. The new version has made browsing my music library harder as to drag the slider on the right of the screen you have to hold on it first. This is trickier than it sounds and irritating ### 5/5 — Excellent - Just like everything dCS does *2022-12-24, version 1.4.0* Well written, thoroughly thought out and regularly updated. This app is intuitive to use, full featured and includes everything needed to operate dCS’ networked products. It has what can be thought of as “two sides” operating simultaneously: a hardware control part and a music services part. All of the features of my dCS Vivaldi DAC and Upsampler are found in the first and everything you could want beautifully implemented in the second. For those who like to use Roon, both can be run simultaneously allowing Roon’s music control with dCS Mosaic’s hardware control. Roon is definitely not required but doing this is an option. In fact, this app includes Spotify, Deezer and USB interfaces as well as Podcasts which Roon does not. Of course, you can play downloaded files as well (MinimServer suggested). If only the rest of the world were like dCS … ### 5/5 — Outstanding control for my dcs *2021-04-08, version 1.1.1* Mosaic is by far the best first-party app that I've used in the last decade. Most are either an afterthought to their hardware counterpart, or become abandonware. I have no reason to even entertain roon. Mosaic is fast, sleek, and user-friendly. Allows one to get to one's music quickly and then graciously gets out of the way. Queue management is fast and intuitive. Color me impressed! ### 4/5 — The Volume control bar is not user friendly. *2020-12-24, version 1.1.1* The volume control bar are hard to control. When the volume is 0.0dB, it seem to be hard to call it. Touch it will show blue 0.0dB. So I am sure the iPad recognize you input. But I slide the bar, it just don’t recognize any input. Always need to try 3 to 4 time as the apps take my input. Also, even time need to catch the dot is also need user friendly. I think just slide the bar left and right to represent vol up and down is a better way as the iPad main volume also the same.
