### 4/5 — DDS GP

*2012-11-13, version 5.0.8*

Bien fait et pratique, mais.....quelques actes obsolètes, quelques insuffisances et, surtout, une mauvaise traduction en français. A part ça , pratique, rapide, très innovant et adopté !

### 3/5 — Updates? Ever?

*2012-02-04, version 4.0.32*

Bought this several months ago and still am waiting for new content and updates. Haven't seen anything other than minor bug fixes. It's as if they made the app and are not ever going to update it with our user requests. If they can put some effort into that I will give it more stars.

### 5/5 — Rebecca Burton, Dental Assistant

*2011-12-14, version 4.0.30*

I downloaded the DDS GP for my Doctor today and we could not be more pleased! I was a little intimidated by the technology, but Tracey (sp?-sorry!) walked me through the whole thing and it was really quite simple. The App is so impressive and we can't wait to start using it tomorrow! Thanks, Kick Your Apps! This rocks!

### 5/5 — Perio content please!!!

*2011-11-21, version 4.0.30*

Great app, but PLEASE give us more content on periodontal surgery such as bone grafting, GTR and osseous surgery.

### 5/5 — Shawn GurleyDDS

*2011-10-27, version 4.0.30*

I find that quick accessibility is the key to the success of this product. Before, I have fumbled with Casey dental education in my office, and by the time you have accessed the correct module the patients eyes have glazed over in boredom. But with DDS GP , you have instant access in your hand with access to graphic tools you need to communicate with your patient. Not only that, but you have the Magic of the iPad which seems to rivet the patient to the screen. By handing the iPad to the patient , they become an instant co- diagnostic student. An invaluable tool in my practice. Cant say enough about this product. Great value for your practice. Download this NOW!

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2011-10-21, version 4.0.30*

I purchased this app few months ago and I am VERY satisfied with it. It is one of my best assets from my practice. I recommended it to all my colleagues. It has also a FANTASTIC customer support, I had to follow up with a minor bug after installing ios 5 software and the team was very responsive in the emails. Everything works perfect after update. In this economy , having this app makes all other thousand dollars educational materials obsolete. It is one of my best investments.
I am really impressed how fast the updates were pushed to Apple to correct minor bugs after ios 5.The team really cares about their product in dental community. You will feel that they are reliable and are there when you need them.

### 5/5 — Finally wow effect

*2011-09-23, version 4.0.24*

My brother dentist buy and i pad only for this software

### 5/5 — Dr. Amir Hosseini

*2011-09-23, version 4.0.24*

Customer support was fantastic. Tracy helped considerably in gettting this app onto my ipad and we sure appreciate it a great deal.

### 4/5 — Another tool in the toolbox!!

*2011-06-12, version 4.0.22*

Great app. Especially the ability to draw over the diagrams. Is used a lot in our practice, especially by our hygienists. Keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Schwartz Consulting Group

*2011-06-04, version 4.0.20*

This app is the best. I have recommended this to many of my clients. They have said the app pays for itself and the ipad in a day. Makes it easy for the patients to undersand what the Dr. sees and what the Dr is planing on doing. The ability to email treatment plans is a reall benefit also. Thanks for makeing it easy and affordable. Other software you would have to pay for updates, this you do not. I would recommend this to every Dentist I know and I have.

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2011-05-14, version 4.0.18*

I was a user of the CAESY educational system. Well, you could describe me as a user because I spent the $7000 to get the network version, but did I actually use it? No, only rarely. Why didn't I use it? Because it wasn't interactive, it wasn't short and concise, the people and backgrounds were outdated and you had to have a full computer in every operatory to use it.

When I saw DDS GP come along, I was initially hesitant to purchase it. Mainly due to the sticker shock. $400? You've got to be kidding me. Now in hindsight, it seems like a drop in the bucket compared to what it has done for my case acceptance and patients understanding of procedures and treatment options.

I use it on a daily basis. The aspects about it that I really like?:

It's mobile. I have one iPad and 6 operatories. I only need the one iPad to be able to educate throughout my entire practice. Just grab the iPad and go. I have an iPad 2 with an orange cover. All I have to say to my team is "Can you get the orange?" and it's there.

It's affordable. I only have to purchase it once and can use it on as many devices as are linked to my iTunes user account.

It's quick. The animations are short and concise.

It's customizable. I can add some of my own interesting radiographs and intraoral pics to different procedures. I can create favorite lists that are quick to retrieve.

It's a drawing pad. I can draw right on the animation rather than on a scratch piece of paper.

It's marketing. I can immediately email the image of the procedure I am discussing to the patient while I am talking to them. This gives them a 'reminder' of what we discussed.

It's thorough. There are countless ways you can use the many, many procedures in this app.

My most used ones are Periodontal Disease (it's so difficult to explain this one to patients, but when they see this animation, they're educated/sold), implant procedures (again, difficult to explain to patients) and recurrent and interproximal caries. There are numerous other procedure animations that I use on a daily basis.

Let me just reiterate that initially I thought it was a ridiculous investment...now I consider it a wise investment. It pays for itself time and time again, every single day. You get what you pay for. Pay for a cheap app with little thought put into it and expect a sub par result.

### 5/5 — DDS GP

*2011-05-12, version 4.0.16*

This app is easy to understand for patients, easy for the staff to use and I think a bargain. I bought an i pad just for this app and I am happy I did.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2011-05-09, version 4.0.16*

Have been using this app for a couple of weeks and has made case presentation more fun and easier than with the aid of Casey. Even with the IPhone this works with extreme ease and clarity.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bastante cutre.

*2018-09-10, version 8.1.0*

Poco serio el contenido multimedia, Si se está dispuesto a modificarlo todo con contenido propio, podría ser útil como indexador. Pero por el precio, un despilfarro, mejor álbumes de fototeca....

### 1/5 — DDS

*2014-03-05, version 7.0.10*

I'm very disappointed with the app. The graphics are very bad. Check 3d4Medical apps those guys really work at their project. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — Keeps Crashing

*2013-09-19, version 5.0.18*

If I could get the app to stay open long enough to evaluate it I might like it.... It will not open... Please fix

### 1/5 — German Translation

*2011-06-03, version 4.0.20*

Awful!!!

### 1/5 — Ripoff program

*2011-03-13, version 4.0.8*

Pitifully poor is about the best you can say about this program.

compare it to something like caesy.

It's like inviting Prof. Einstein into your classroom and getting, instead, a second-grader.

Limping graphics. Poorly illustrated with a handful of still photos.

No memory of previous treatment plans for patients. Go out of the program for a second and everything vanishes.

Can't sent out to a projector through the VGA adaptor.

Basically LAME.

### 1/5 — Ben

*2011-03-12, version 4.0.8*

I bought this application in 2010 and it stopped working. I try to download again the application and I got charged another time . This is just robbery!!!

### 2/5 — Outdated for the $$$

*2019-03-20, version 8.1.0*

I've had this app for a 10 yrs. No significant improvements or updates. I assume the developer mothballed this and moved on.

### 2/5 — Great app until last update….

*2013-08-21, version 5.0.16*

Original review:

"Last update has produced crashing issues specifically when attempting to add photos from your own library. Dropbox use for adding your own photos has also become somewhat buggy. It loads only a portion of the content stored in dropbox. The app seems to struggle with folder hierarchy and subfolders. Would also like to be able to remove outdated images that come stock in the app, but presently there's no way to do so according to developers. I've relayed these issues to support, but no solution seems to be available. They suggested complete removal and reinstallation. This did not solve the problem. Subsequent email to support for further assistance received no response. At this point, the app is somewhat problematic and limited in its use in my practice. Hoping a fix is forthcoming, but the support members state they cannot duplicate my issues so it appears I'm on my own. Disappointing after such a promising start with this app. Back to Caesy until a fix is discovered."

Every single comment above WAS relayed to support.

Update August 19, 2013: They had resolved the crashing issue with Dropbox and things had been going well.....until this latest update. Now crashes constantly again on two different iPads. Remove and reinstall failed to resolve. Getting very tired of this app being problematic. Respectfully suggest they get someone to assist in writing the code to stabilize this app. Users deserve better given the price paid. Dropping another star due to this issue along with zero improvement in the graphics. Don't expect HD video, but they can surely do better than this. Also still want the ability to remove antiquated images that come pre installed on the app. Devs aren't listening to users it appears.

Update Aug 21, 2013: I've removed and reinstalled this app 3 more times on both an ipad 2 and ipad 3. Both still struggle with Dropbox and crash when trying to upload photos into the app. When the app reopens, the images are there. Both ipads behave EXACTLY the same way leading me to believe it's the app and not the device(s). As for Mike4532 complaining that my review is bogus and that the devs have never heard from me on this, that's false. As for staying anonymous, I'm sure that's not his real name, but mine is.....

This app is a crash machine when Dropbox is used on my devices. That's a fact. Running iOS 6.1.3. Devs have my contact info since we've been in touch before. If they have a solution other than telling me they can't duplicate my issue and that I should remove and reinstall, I welcome the chance to discuss this with them.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2010-10-06, version 0*

I was hesitant to purchase this app because I know that Apple does not allow them to be returned but I was impressed with the website and thought this would be a nice addition to my office. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the quality of the animations. The bone grafting, sealant, implant over dentures, ect all are poorly done. It almost looks like something from that Southpark cartoon. I will use this for S/RP education, but pretty much anything else needs significantly more polish to make any permanent place in my operatories.

### 3/5 — caro para lo que ofrece

*2020-10-10, version 8.1.1*

Es bastante ilustrativo para enseñar al paciente pero no es para pagar 449 dolares o euros por el. Es caro! A mi me gusta para dar explicaciones breves de procesos que ilustrativamente son más fáciles de comprender. No han hecho mas actualizaciones.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Like it.

*2026-03-18, version 10.1.5*

We use this pretty much every day. Patients seem to respond better to this app than X-rays or IO pics

### 5/5 — Well worth the purchase price

*2025-08-13, version 10.0.4*

Amazing ROI on this app, I’ve had it for the last decade and it’s helped immensely with case acceptance! Support has been unreal as well!

### 5/5 — One of the best patient education apps

*2024-01-10, version 8.2.1*

For the price, you can not get any better. This app works beautifully on an iPad for patient education. The topics are inclusive on all areas of dentistry and very easy for assistants to use to explain treatment to patients. Also we stream to the tv in the operatory for easy viewing.
The app allows you to customize with drawing and your own photos.

Well worth it and customer service is outstanding

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2023-02-24*

Patients are impressed with this

### 5/5 — Very satisfied customer

*2019-11-07*

This app works really well. The latest update is great. I have it on three iPads in the office so my hygienists can use it too.

### 5/5 — Very comprehensive and useful App.

*2014-06-25, version 7.0.12*

After trying many chair side patient education solutions, our quest to find best solution ended with DDS GP. Accurate, easy to use, and awesome for patients.

### 5/5 — ltrtiger reviews are bogus

*2013-08-20, version 5.0.16*

I have become close to the developers of DDS GP as they listen and implement changes based on requests made by us users like me. They have enhanced the app significantly as a result of collective feedback.

I spoke to one of the founders, as well as their customer service about this post from ltrtiger and they have never heard from someone about these issues (typical anonymous post). This leads me to believe that this is a fake post. I have multiple iPads running DDS GP, and no matter how hard I try I can not get them to crash. Believe me I have tried.

I always get responses to my calls and emails promptly and the customer service group will not hang up until something is resolved. They even helped me set up my iPad for email configuration. The app is to explain to patients their condition and make a plan to treat the patient effectively. The app is not intended to teach dentistry… It is very effective for the intended focus, chairside consultation. If you don't believe me, read Gordon Christensen's CR Report July 2011. CR rated DDS GP as the most effective product available

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-06-12, version 5.0.14*

Awesome app! Highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Another great update...

*2012-09-12, version 5.0.8*

It is great to be able to summarize, and reiterate directly from the items in the plan. This saves yet more time, and really clarifies things for the patient.

### 5/5 — Dr.

*2012-01-20, version 4.0.32*

What a great app!! Definitely makes tx plans easier to discuss when the patient can actually can see what is going on!! Looking forward to more updates!!
