So many microtransactions feels like a Chinese gacha game sometimes. They are trying to go for the "rogue like" gameplay when you choose skills but I've already seen all the skills and none of them are exciting. The fun in the dead ahead world is the characters and we just get a default human. You see pretty much all there is to offer in the first hour then it’s just rinse and repeat. One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn’t constantly hit you with random ads in the middle of gameplay. The ads are completely optional, and they always offer worthwhile rewards if you decide to watch them. The gameplay loop can become a little repetitive at times, but I’m only mentioning this because I genuinely want to see the game improve. I would love to see more roadside events, more NPCs to encounter, and a wider variety of skills. Right now, the skill options feel a little limited, with only a few main types such as fire, electricity, and poison. It would be amazing to have more variety and interesting combinations to make each run feel different. The microtransactions are also optional, which is great. You don’t feel forced to spend money, and it’s possible to progress easily by making good choices and picking the right skills. The gacha aspect could also use a little more excitement and a wider selection of weapons. During my first few days of playing, I only managed to get around two different weapons, so having more weapon variety and exciting rewards would definitely improve the experience. Overall, this game has a lot of potential, and I’m genuinely rooting for it.
