There is no feasible way of grinding to achieve 3 stars within the first 3 maps without spending money- and it’s not worth it. If the developers really cared about the user experience, they would at least allow casual play to have a natural progression then incentivize pay for PvP events. This game is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, I would not recommend. I'm at the point where I'm completely stuck because i don't have enough fuel to keep progressing, and my characters aren't strong enough to clear the missions when I do have fuel. I wouldn't mind grinding repeat missions for smaller rewards, but I don't have enough fuel to do that at a reasonable pace. The recharge time is too slow, which makes it difficult to improve my characters, farm resources, and experiment with different team compositions. Overall, the fuel system is what holds this game back.
