I really like the gameplay & humor…my only complaint is that it’s a bit short. It’s very difficult to have any kind of character development or “story” with an adventure game this small, but otherwise it’s fun to play if you have an hour or so (depending on how fast you solve puzzles, etc.). Hoping the developer makes more games like this, maybe with more fleshed-out characters (see what I did there) next time. 😉 ### 5/5 — A fun game from the Flash game era *2023-11-28, version 1.3.0* I may be biased as I remember playing this game at 19, home from college during Christmas break, on the family computer. I was heartbroken when Flash finally died, but I am glad that the developer is releasing his game (with never-before-seen cases) on Steam next year, like so many other developers from the Flash era have done. Also, this is a nice mobile port and is as fun as I remember. Anyway, as the game name implies, you play as a detective who’s not exactly “alive”. The world is has been taken over by zombies and the brains (humans) have lost. (This isn’t to say that there aren’t any humans in the world as later games will reveal that there are several “brain farms”.) in this particular game, you help a recently dead zombie, who had an item of sentimental value, his ID card from when he was alive, stolen. You help him find the thief and bring them to justice. The game has a “deaductions” system, which is similar to Frogwares’ much-beloved Sherlock Holmes games starting with Crimes and Punishments, where the player combines clues and come to a conclusion. If you are a Frogwares fan or are someone who just enjoys solving mysteries, I would fully recommend this game to you. ### 5/5 — Not a 1 star in sight *2023-11-08, version 1.3.0* Great game! I love combining clues to come up with conclusions and it’s very easy to ask for help when you are stuck. The auto save kicks in when you change rooms. Purposeful cartooning with fun artistic details. It’s a mystery adventure where you don’t just click around. You question witnesses, jot down their answers and draw conclusions from those answers. There’s even a minor action scene. You have to get all 7 conclusions correct and then present the evidence. Fun. ### 5/5 — A nice game *2023-05-18, version 1.3.0* Playing this was loads of fun, I’d gotten the perfect ending first try and loved every moment of it. The game does a good job pacing areas and helping you where it’s needed, I never felt stuck because the game doesn’t punish you for experimenting and asking every question you can think of before coming up with your final conclusions. So much so that I stopped playing. I knew what the game was supposed to do and it refused to do it! Why? Why do devs make things that aren’t user/player friendly?! When asked to talk about notes, the hourglass just keeps spinning and I can take no other action other than to quit. I was really enjoying the game up till then….now unplayable. There were rarely any obscure or dumb solutions, but it was still challenging. My biggest issues are the animation and the characters. The characters are flat and bland with nothing in their dialogue to tell them apart (except for mentions of their jobs). The game was too short for them to develop at all. The animations were stiff and looked like most were done with puppets. Despite my complaints, I would absolutely recommend this game to someone looking for a point and click adventure game. It's short-takes about an hour to play through- but for a free game, you can't complain. The only part I had trouble with was the ending; there was no hint as to how to trigger the final scene, and I spent a lot of time tapping on things and revisiting locations (thinking I'd missed something) before I figured out that you have to double tap on a deduction in your notebook, and that triggers the final conversation with Mr. Minsk.
