### 3/5 — Not worth 10 bucks

*2018-12-18, version 1.0.0*

I rarely buy a Big Fish game because most of them are filled with hidden object scenes ( point and peck) that make you search endlessly for objects you don’t need. This one looked like it might not be so bad that way so I thought I would give it a try. The story is okay, the graphics are good, but I sometimes had trouble tapping on the right pixel. For ten bucks I expected a longer game, though, so was disappointed when i was done in about three hours. The puzzle solutions are mostly obvious and not too difficult. I probably won’t buy another one of these games as I prefer something more interactive, and challenging, not just a point and peck.

### 4/5 — Pretty good game

*2018-06-05, version 1.0.0*

It isn’t a bad game still haven’t finished it. The only downside is the map is temperamental sometimes on tapping an area it might allow me to go there. Most times though it doesn’t and I either need to tap the hint button or go the long way round in going through the areas.

### 2/5 — No enjoying

*2018-05-17, version 1.0.0*

Thinks are really not clear and the games don’t work very hard to do it’s like they don’t work just stared and had to skip 2 of the 3 games will not be buying this game

### 4/5 — Entertaining

*2018-05-14, version 1.0.0*

Enjoying this game. Looks like the chapters are short but I am finding lots to do.

### 2/5 — Dead Reckoning: Lethal Knowledge by LynxMinx

*2018-05-13, version 1.0.0*

Seriously, BigFish, you need to do something about EIPIX. This game had so many technical issues it was a chore to play! The graphics were terrible, the game was extremely short, and the teleport map did not function properly. You had to tap on a location about 20 times to teleport. In addition, it was extremely hard to manipulate objects. At the beginning of the game, it took me 30 minutes to get the desk unlocked because the game wouldn’t allow me to pick up the key properly. It’s unfortunate because the storyline was good and some of the puzzles were fun. When a game is that difficult to play though, you get fed up and just want to be done. We have been complaining about EIPIX lack of quality assurance and this was it at its worst!
I won’t go into any other game features because I don’t feel like this developer merits my time! I would have rated it 4 stars had it run properly, but that wasn’t the case. Gamers, if you want to be as miserable and frustrated as I was with this game, by all means purchase it. I stupidly did so without even playing the free trial because I like this series. What a mistake!
Hopefully we will get something that runs well next week, like Domini!
Happy gaming to all (not this game)!

### 4/5 — We're Off To A University To Study: Murder 101!

*2018-05-11, version 1.0.0*

My favorite type of genre is one that does not involve chasing after supernatural entities and instead presents a real-life murder mystery in which I become completely immersed within the plot as it unfolds.

This is why "Dead Reckoning" is one of my favorite series. Each successive sequel continues to capture my attention with engaging twists and suspenseful story lines, set within true-to-life locations. In this sequel, I am thrilled to return to university life, vicariously re-living those days when I was a student, except this time I get to solve a murder mystery. One particular aspect I admire in this series is that the characters' personalities are usually fleshed out, thanks to the investigative nature of the plot. I love how this developer puts a refreshing spin on gameplay, implementing state-of-the-art technology utilized by hi-tech institutions. For example, you utilize a tablet — equipped with various Apps — which functions as an all-in-one guide to help you get around.

The interrogative techniques are revamped with a contemporary flair; however, I won't disclose those details to avoid ruining your surprise. One remark about the teleport map is that you need to directly click on the light blue color beneath the indicators to transport to locations; otherwise, you might find yourself clicking endlessly, while remaining stationary.

The sometimes-challenging HOSs incorporate unique interactions and implement technological elements. In one particular scene, I loved the creativity in finding the differences between split-paneled depictions in a newspaper. I am surprised that a few scenes are revisited, although the formats are altered. Some of the puzzles are technologically oriented, thus complementing the theme of the storyline. The pinball-machine game was fun and offered a nice degree of difficulty. Be sure to tap everywhere because there are a lot of amusing achievements to fulfill relating to student life, such as waking up a sleeping student.

One trivial gripe is that the graphics are still fuzzy. However, the reason I deducted a star is because teleporting from the map is like being stuck on a deserted island — you just can't get off it. Other than that, this is a solid game, and hence the 4 stars.

### 4/5 — Big Nanna 65.

*2018-04-25, version 1.0.0*

Good game. Loved every minute. Thank you big fish.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not impressed

*2019-03-09, version 1.0.0*

One of the first thing that happened is that you can’t pick up the first hat for the collection. The story is boring and stilted. Just glad I didn’t pay for the unlocked game, even on sale it’s not worth it

### 1/5 — Puzzles are bad

*2019-02-22, version 1.0.0*

Directions on how to do them are non existent and don’t waste your time trying to figure them out.

### 1/5 — Worst!!!

*2019-01-21, version 1.0.0*

I have played these types of games for years and this is the first time I have ever come upon a game that had an interface this poorly designed. This is sad because you can tell the creators put a lot of work and effort into this game however, accessing levers is needlessly complicated and many of the operations for clues are not easy to understand.

Again I have played dozens of these type of games on the hardest difficulty (so I know what I’m talking about) and this is by far the worst one to interact with.

### 1/5 — Too frustrating with technical issues

*2018-08-16, version 1.0.0*

I have begun playing this game twice now, and both times I quit. Out of the hundreds of games I have played, I have only left a game unfinished maybe two or three times, even when it became a chore to finish. I purchased this game without playing the demo because I really like this series. I guess I can no longer do that, because many of my favorite series have proven unworthy of my devotion lately. There are so many technical issues within the first few scenes, I had to quit. Items were difficult to manipulate, or just did not work the way they were meant to. I finally gave up on opening the desk using the key. Life is too short to waste time becoming frustrated and angry over something which should be relaxing and enjoyable. Big Fish, please, please, please give us quality games that work the way they are supposed to work.

### 1/5 — Snore-fest

*2018-07-14, version 1.0.0*

The other reviews are right - this is a boring game and not very well designed. Save your money for something that’s actually entertaining.

### 1/5 — One of the worst games in recent history!

*2018-05-14, version 1.0.0*

I purchased this game sight unseen because I love murder mysteries and the quality of Eipix games. Boy, I was proven wrong!

My favorite thing to do is to locate and select hidden objects in each scene. I couldn’t select the first object (mortarboard). The “teleporting” map does not teleport. The map does not show the hidden objects location. Slow to refresh. Crappy graphics, etc.

A waste of $3.99!

### 1/5 — Painful 😣

*2018-05-13, version 1.0.0*

I normally love this series, however this one was not up to par. Very disappointed, as I felt that there were just way too many puzzles and overall navigation was a chore. I personally, did not experience any glitches, just painfully boring. Recommend playing the trial and seeing if it’s your cup of tea. Definitely not mine. This series took a wrong turn on this one. Hopefully, our next release will be better.

### 1/5 — Dated

*2018-05-10, version 1.0.0*

I am not a fan of this series, as the map is almost useless, and response time is sluggish. Overall, the storyline is awkward and trite. I may not finish as it is almost a chore to continue.

### 2/5 — Sound cuts out

*2022-03-12, version 1.0.0*

A potentially great game ruined by the fact that sound cuts out constantly, and requires force closing and reopening the game to get it to work again.

### 2/5 — Glitches

*2018-05-21, version 1.0.0*

Normally, I enjoy this series. However, there are too many glitches. The game is frozen at the basketballs in the fraternity room. I can’t get past this. Very disappointed. Please fix!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent in all respects

*2026-02-28, version 1.0.0*

Very enjoyable game. Lots of puzzles, great graphics and story. A thoroughly well-thought out game.
Map is so helpful, I hate wasting time running round to check which room you need next. It works!
Long game, lots to do and interesting variety of puzzles. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — Big fish

*2020-12-26, version 1.0.0*

I love it

### 5/5 — Thought it was great!

*2020-01-15, version 1.0.0*

Just want to say this proved to be a really great game. Adventure part was challenging, story line was interesting, and no serious glitches. I played to the end and played bonus game as well. Just enough hidden objects and other little games thrown in, and the plot twist with The security guard Victor!

### 5/5 — Excellent Addition to the Series!!!

*2019-08-25, version 1.0.0*

This was a great game in a great serried! I had zero technical issues on my iPad Pro! Definitely recommend!!!!

### 5/5 — GREAT GAME (Good come back for me 😉)

*2019-01-13, version 1.0.0*

I really enjoyed this one and considering I haven’t played in a while it was a treat to find a couple really enjoyable ones.
I thought the story line was very different for detective play and a good length too.
I hope to be writing more reviews soon. Please understand Im a bit rusty but Im sure I’ll jump right back into it. 😍🎮

### 5/5 — Good

*2018-05-24, version 1.0.0*

Enjoying so far, good mixture of puzzles and lovely graphics

### 5/5 — At last

*2018-05-11, version 1.0.0*

About time, a decent game, recent games have been terrible.

### 4/5 — Intriguing game

*2020-01-13, version 1.0.0*

Loved the premise. I also loved all the extra touches, such as a tablet with your map, etc. on it, matrix-esque visuals, etc. Innovative puzzles, varied HOS, length is good. If you love academia, scientists gone wrong, and fun, then this game is for you!

### 4/5 — Would have given 5 stars but...

*2019-07-21, version 1.0.0*

The bonus game was very short compared to other Big Fish bonus games & the game would sometimes make you think it had frozen as the screen would go black for a few seconds as it was changing scenes but the graphics are the best Ive ever played & the puzzles were really awesome.

### 4/5 — Enjoyable.

*2018-07-16, version 1.0.0*

It's simple, but fun. Play this series with my niece.
