## What is Deadline Backsolve?

When you realize you won't hit the deadline, what you actually
need is the answer to "so what do I change?"

Deadline Backsolve computes the shortfall and gives you concrete fixes:
"push the deadline 3 days", "add 45 minutes per working day",
"cut 4 pages". Real numbers, not a warning label.

■ Three inputs. Thirty seconds.
What, how much, by when. That's the whole setup.
Per-weekday hours and finer settings can wait until later.

■ You only look at today
The home screen says "Today: 8 pages." That's it.
No Gantt charts, no dense tables. Tap "+1 page" when you're done.

■ It follows your real week
One hour on weekdays, three on weekends? Your quota is distributed
by the time you actually have, not spread evenly into a plan
you were never going to keep.

■ It learns your real pace
It starts from an estimate, then switches to your measured
minutes-per-unit once you have logged enough work.
You never have to re-tune the estimate yourself.

- Switch to a later registered deadline (with hours gained)
- Extend the deadline by N days

• Added "Our other apps" in Settings, so you can see what else we make. The App Store opens inside the app, so you never lose your place.

• Added a gentle streak reminder. It learns roughly when you usually finish and sends at most one nudge a day. Nothing is sent once you're done for the day, and if you stop opening the app for a while, it quiets itself. You can turn it off in Settings.

One display fix.

When a single page (or unit) takes longer than the time you have
today, the numbers looked contradictory — for example
"Today: 2 pages / est. 10 hours / available today 3 hours".

The app now explains why, in one line:
"One page (5 hours) does not fit in today's available time."

The calculation itself is unchanged.

Fixes for issues you reported.

Notifications
- Reminders now appear while the app is open (they did not before).
- If notifications are not permitted, the app says so instead of failing silently.
- It now shows when the next reminder will arrive.
- Settings has a new "Send a test now" button.
- The reminder text is rebuilt each time you open the app, so it no longer goes stale.

New manuscript settings
- Fixed numbers being lost when you tapped Save while still typing.
- Added a Done button to the number keyboard.
- Changing the type no longer overwrites an amount, unit or duration you entered.
- Switching to per-weekday hours now carries over the hours you already set.
- Early/late deadlines are put back in order on save if they were reversed.

- Added a section for other apps by the same developer.
