Don’t get started. *2023-02-24* This wasn’t the best designed game to begin with. There was no directions with the puzzles, and you could start them, even if you didn’t have what you needed to start. The only problem with that is you don’t know you don’t have what you need to do the puzzles. I would not pay to finish the game. No thanks , I don’t like being bamboozled into paying to finish. I might have bought the entire game if I knew it was a demo from the beginning. That being said, I still very much enjoyed what I did get to play, beautiful artwork, and definitely made me think, I like that in a game. I only got as far as the neighbor’s house and each time I clicked on the ladder, door, or bird house a window offering hints for $4.99 popped up. Is the protagonist dragging around her own daughter throughout the story? Or were some of those supposed to be visions? Anyway the backstory was telegraphed in advance but I was playing for the resolution… which isn’t in the game. Sigh. This one just didn’t grab me, especially with a $4.99 unlock price. As a rule, I prefer to pay for games, but I just couldn’t bring myself to click the button this time. If it were a couple dollars less, maybe. And now that I read reviews saying the game isn’t even complete….well, that’s a big nope. There are lots better games of this type for iPad. Maybe I’ll reconsider when the rest of it comes out, if the developer offers a deal.
