I am in noisy places much of the time and find that the transcription has been incorrect and causing embarrassing situations. I took a leap of faith because I thought it would be more focused on what deaf individuals are faced with in the real world. I am sadly mistaken. We will continue to work hard. ### 1/5 — Charged after I cancelled subscription. *2025-11-02* Downloaded app on my phone phone (10am 30th October)to see if it would be good for my elderly father (it is, it's very good). And cancelled the subscription within seconds of signing up. The next day 31st October the £50 was withdrawn from my bank account. This is totally unacceptable. And I believe illegal. This is a wonderfully responsive app. It almost instantly provides a transcription of speech, with a very quick AI followup with corrections to the transcription. And the AI seems to be learning things from my speech patterns and cultural references. However, at a distance of 5+ feet, there are many mistakes. The app does go back and make corrections at times but not always. It doesn’t help much if background noise is present. It has extreme difficulty transcribing children’s voices. I have used it in church; it would be helpful if religious vocabulary and books of the Bible were added. Many words in this category come out gibberish. Overall I am glad I bought the app. It will be helpful in some situations.
