I’ve used Kasa in the past and have had no issues. ### 1/5 — Pos *2026-06-14, version 2.22.7* App won't even let me login ### 1/5 — Connectivity not reliable *2026-06-08, version 2.22.7* After connecting my switches to my home network, the app will control them for about 2 hours then show they are disconnected, however, in my home network management, they still show connected. I've followed customers support for factory reset and the issue remains. No integration with alexa or alarm.com. Never worked. Also followed customer supports recommendations and no resolution. They keep mentioning my home network as if that's the issue but I have no issues with any other of my other devices like Eaton, leviton, tp-link (Kasa), ring, kwikset and those that are supposed to work with either alexa or alarm.com work flawlessly. I even attempted to put them on their own 2.4ghz band and nothing works. They need accountability and acknowledge they have some work to do. ### 1/5 — Frustrating and not simple *2026-05-25, version 2.22.7* We bought a new construction a year ago and purchased the “smart home” option. Even the Deako installer had a hard time getting all of our smart lights set up. Multiple calls and appointments and we still do not have it fixed. Not worth the investment. Wish I had just bought normal light switches ### 1/5 — Scheduled lighting never turns off *2026-05-18, version 2.22.7* Porch light scheduled to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise stays on all day. Customer service only gaslights. They even use the term sunset and try to make you feel dumb because its not actually sunset. Then call it what it is and have it line up with reality. This app has gone way downhill. Now Im wasting electricity because the timed off setting no longer occurs. ### 2/5 — App unstable *2026-04-28, version 2.21.4* Having login issues have redownloaded app many times seems like nothing gets fixed on it for as much as you pay for the products. Wouldn’t recommend to others maybe in the future when things get fixed right ### 2/5 — Spotty Connectvity *2026-04-26, version 2.21.4* I purchased these switches in Oct 2023 as part of a smart home purchase. Within almost 3 years, the connectivity has gotten worse. When trying to control the switches from my phone, I receive a red x indicating that it’s offline. Alexa (Amazon Echo Pop) frequently states that she can’t turn on (or turn off) the lights due to the switches being offline. I troubleshoot at least 2-3 times a week due to connectivity issues and I have AT&T fiber for internet service. ### 1/5 — Nonfunctional and Useless *2026-04-26, version 2.21.4* App consistency crashes. I wish my house had no Deako features. A waste of money and I would rather just have normal light switches. If you want your sanity. DONT USE DEAKO ### 1/5 — Too many Ads *2026-04-10, version 2.21.4* Ads pop up EVERY TIME I open the app. These ads take up your entire screen space too ### 2/5 — Whole House *2026-03-23* Constant have switches breaking down. They will replace with a customer service call but what a pain to always reset with automation. I had Lutron for years in my last house and never had this problem with failing switches. Plug/play option is nice but the backing takes up too much room in the box for 3 or 4 way wiring in tight spots. Rocker arms also fail on simple switches which is crazy, where is quality control who should be switching these 10,000 time which can be 10+ years of use.
