## What is Dear Wander?

Most of the time the scroll is about something else: filling a quiet moment, or slipping past a feeling you'd rather not sit with.

Dear Wander puts a short breath in front of the apps that pull at you, and keeps you company from morning to night.

In the morning

Write one sentence for your day, before the notifications start.

When you reach for an app:

A warm amber pause appears first, with your sentence on it. Breathe with the orb for about a minute while your phone pulses in your hand. Then Dear Wander tells you what you just did and asks how you feel. Open the app or put the phone down.

At night:

One question about your day, drawn from what you wrote that morning. Answer in a few words, or tap "Not today".

Your journal:

What you write has its own tab and stays on your phone. Entries stay closed until you open them.

For the moments that need more than a breath

• Guided breathing with a mantra you choose
• 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, to come back to your senses
• Guided imagery, for when you need somewhere else to be
• A look back at the moments you reclaimed

Built on Apple's Screen Time

You choose the apps and websites. Your choices stay on your device, and there's no account to create.

Dear Wander is free to use, with a gentle pause on one app. For unlimited apps and the full library of guided sessions, premium is a subscription (monthly or yearly, beginning with a free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in Settings.

Warmly,
Dear Wander

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-03

It now runs on more iPhones. It now runs from iOS 18.

A journal of its own.

What you write now has its own tab. Entries stay closed until you open them, so nothing you wrote is on show when someone glances at your screen.

A question at night. In the evening, one question about your day, drawn from your own intention and the pauses you took.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-31

A new look, and a fix.

Dear Wander has a new icon: an arch opening onto the last of the light.

Websites now get the same pause as apps. If you'd put a whole category on your list, the sites inside it were slipping through. They don't any more. Works only in Safari.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-27

Dear Wander now has a Spanish App Store page, and a new support page at dearwander.com/support if you ever need one.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-18

No release notes.
