### 1/5 — Stole my $$

*2025-09-18*

You can’t even proceed to the app without buying a subscription. They offer a free trial so I was like, sure, why not since they said they’ll send you a reminder before charging you. They in fact did NOT. I don’t think you can even cancel your subscription in the app. At least not easily. I had to do it in Apple’s settings.

### 1/5 — Random subscription

*2025-09-18, version 2.0.1*

Why is this not a one-time payment?

### 1/5 — Reviews claim the app is “free for life” but this is a lie

*2025-09-08*

I downloaded after Developer commented on several reviews that the app was now free for life, but this is inaccurate. I filled out the entire registration and it led to a “Free Trial” page with a charge of $5.99 monthly after 3 days.

This is disappointing as I really looked forward to the app and I put a lot of effort into registering.

### 4/5 — Such a good concept

*2025-08-19*

Such a good concept, but ruined by subscriptions. I wish it was free or at least had a free tier with one time payment for the paid one

### 4/5 — Not as bad as it sounds

*2024-11-27*

5448 stick to the path… if you do what it asks, it gives a very nice supportive analysis.

### 3/5 — It’s aight, I guess

*2024-11-27*

You get a quote and you get to ask 1 question to the AI. That’s it. I noticed that it is just set up to answer only 1 question. In this case, any question about anything. It doesn’t even have to do with the app itself or about death or whatever. I asked a random question and it answer me. It’s just like any other gpt, but set to answer only 1 question. This is clear to not abuse it and/or use it for any other purposes other than asking about the daily quote.

**Developer response:** We updated our app, you can ask much more than one question now. And a few other features since last you checked!

### 2/5 — It’s okay

*2024-11-27*

I got this app because I wanted the reminders as shown in the photos but they don’t work. I already checked the settings and notifications are allowed for the app itself. This app doesn’t have any internal settings which is super odd so I also can’t try to fix it there.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2024-11-27*

Leaves you in awe and shows you the true perspective in life !!

### 5/5 — Great App for Learning to Appreciate

*2024-11-27*

This app and its AI have different ways to make you think deeper about death and push deeper into the big mystery of life and death (I, little i, Ego, Soul, etc).

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2024-11-26*

The app doesn’t work, it doesn’t let me enable notifications and I also somehow can’t enable it from my settings. When starting the app it just says the same quote since days and there is nothing else.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Neat idea, deceptive marketing.

*2026-01-19*

It reels you in and then demands that you sign up for a free trial (of course requiring subscription details) before even testing the app. No thank you.

### 1/5 — good idea poor execution

*2026-01-12*

there should be a free version. you are asked questions that get u excited just to get prompted to pay. its a good idea if they offered a free version. make money from ads with reoccurring app users. instead ur losing most potential users within the first 5 minutes of opening the app.

### 1/5 — SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED ?

*2025-12-15, version 2.0.1*

Do something useful and make this app free

### 1/5 — Free trial is not free at all

*2025-11-28*

I tried the free trial and I didn’t like the app that much so I canceled it WAYYY before my trial was over (the same day I received the trial) and now it’s coming up as an unpaid order on my billing which in turn prohibits me from downloading other apps. Mind you, its supposed to be a free trial…why am I being charged before I’m supposed to? Big fat scam imo. Contacted Apple and I have to pay the subscription that I cancelled while I was on the “free” trial and then request a refund with Apple. Do not get ts🥀

### 1/5 — Pay to even start??

*2025-11-18, version 2.0.1*

Seriously?

### 1/5 — You get to try it for three days

*2025-11-03*

Then you have to pay $7 just to get death threats? I can threaten myself for free thank you.

### 1/5 — Waste of a download

*2025-11-02*

After answering the questions, you’re immediately brought to a pay screen that offers a free trial for three days, but you can’t clear out of the screen. You have to sign up for a membership, which is not free, in order to even try to use the app.

### 1/5 — not free

*2025-09-30, version 2.0.1*

its a trick you have to buy a subscription to actually use it. the free trial is also literally one day. terrible

### 1/5 — Not what I expected.

*2025-09-24, version 2.0.1*

I thought this app would be a kick in the butt for me to be more productive, but it seems more focused on flowery mindfulness and self-growth... I'm already in therapy and familiar with all this mumbo-jumbo, so it's useless to me. There are already apps that do this better, just without the "Death" schtick.

"What truth are you hiding from the world that deserves to be shared?" Umm, how is this related to productivity?

I have stubborn inattentive ADHD, and I wanted an aggressive reminder when I'm brainrotting on my phone that I'm wasting irreplaceable time. This does not do that.

### 1/5 — No free version

*2025-09-24, version 2.0.1*

There’s no free version of the app. It immediately asks you to sign up for a free trial. I uninstalled it immediately. I’d recommend the free podomoro timers on YouTube for those who are struggling with procrastination and cannot afford to pay a subscription.
