The designers should have consulted some professionals. Not having a mute option for this cheap generic pop is ridiculous. And the UI menus are a mess. Irgendwann aber wirkt das Spiel leider ein wenig wie ein Lieblingssong in Dauerschleife da die Höhepunkten fehlen. Wie sehr wünscht man sich auch den Musikplayer im Spiel. Die Lieder sind einfach toll und wurden so absolut toll und passend dafür ausgewählt. I can play it on the go and experience a very nice immersion of Hideo Kijoma’s story and world he’s made with others. I want to see death stranding 2 for iPhone 17 pro max soon still haven’t finished this one but will be one of the first people to buy the second game on iOS, I’m only giving this 4 stars though cuz it was very saddening to see that I needed iCloud storage to play it but it doesn’t matter now I’m playing it and am falling in love with the story that is grimily impressive and sad and also interesting hope they can put the second on iOS very amazing game but again the whole cross progression I don’t think is really needed I bought it on the phone to play it on the phone. Sadly, we hit a wall for the last decade. However, what Kojima and Apple have done here has brought it back in full force. I have been playing this game on and off since launch on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and I just picked up a Mac Mini M4, and have been continuing my journey there. I beat the game originally on PS4, and it was one of my favorite titles of the generation. Just this month, I picked up something that brought the handheld gaming dream back into a full reality, and it has me playing this game every day at lunch, like I did with my handhelds all through school and my first decade at work. The OhSnap MCON, turned my 15 Pro Max into the device that finally made my iPhone into a true Mobile AAA gaming machine! Now I am back to reconnecting America, and making deliveries 24/7! Death Stranding is a perfect game to hop into and make progress in short bursts once you are in the thick of it. I will be continuing to play this game for years to come on future iPhones and Macs. I would highly recommend the game to anyone who loves building worlds, helping out others, and exploring beautiful vistas. Remember, this is buy once play everywhere, so if you have an iPad, MacBook, Mac Mini, or Mac Studio, you can play when, and where you want. Happy Porting! Like!!! ### 5/5 — Masterpiece of the tenth art. *2026-03-20* Death Stranding It's an extremely deep game from a narrative point of view; you'll be moved, it'll make you reflect a lot about life, and it might even change how you see certain things in your life, that is, if you pay attention to the game. The beginning is really boring, much like the start of a CRPG; it's tedious until you learn, but like any CRPG, once you learn it becomes far more immersive than other games, and that's the point of DS: it's a game about immersion. You need to feel like you're actually in that world, rebuilding America. If I had to name just one negative point, aside from it being very centered on America, which weakens the world's identity, it would be that, because Kojima is Japanese and his parents experienced the war, he is anti-war (I think I saw that in an interview, but I don't remember if it's true) So, because that he added many mechanics that punish you for killing, and since I don't share his anti-war view, I ended up ruining my save and had to stop playing for two years before returning with patience and not killing any characters. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Title: A £35 glorified FedEx simulator. This is marketed as a massive, blockbuster sci-fi action game, but in reality, it is a horribly boring delivery simulator that feels like actual digital labor.The entire gameplay loop is fundamentally a tedious chore. You spend hours loading up menus, packing boxes, and micro-managing an inventory screen just to walk from Point A to Point B. The game treats movement like homework—you are constantly fighting a stamina meter and adjusting your center of gravity just to climb over basic rocks and mud. The open world is completely dead and empty; it is just a frustrating obstacle course designed to make you trip, fall, and ruin your cargo. There is no chaotic freedom like GTA, and no immediate, tense survival action like Resident Evil. It takes 10 to 15 hours of slow, repetitive pacing just to unlock basic tools like a vehicle charger. To make it worse, the game is completely up its own arse with pretentious, wordy dialogue and hours of unskippable sci-fi jargon. It drops an overwhelming amount of details on you but gives zero clear guidance or mini-maps on where to go, forcing you to treat the game like a literal topographic map-reading puzzle. Shoving this hyper-complex, text-heavy game onto an iPhone screen makes it ten times worse—the touch controls are cluttered and the text size is painfully small and unreadable.If you want a fast-paced game that respects your time, skip this completely.
