### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-02-25, version 1.1*

Purchased the day it released looking forward to seeing more of this game

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-11-10, version 1.1*

The closest video game to the real thing. Some things I. Battles get repetitive but it ok. Keep up the work and hope for more.

### 5/5 — Great

*2020-07-17*

Great fun.

It’s like an interactive audiobook.

Only complaint is that there is no pause button and the video quality on iPad could be better.

The narrator is awesome and the game’s controls are fine on any device.

There are save points if you die.

Personally, the game was priced right and is worth it.

### 5/5 — Great narrative rpg

*2020-05-25, version 1.0*

If you are a fan of D&D or just great story telling ( albeit linear in some aspects) this is a fantastic adaventure where your decisions will determine your fate within the narrative. You start with a few choices of your character like strength, stamina, and luck all of which determine how well your situations will turnout. After you generate your character and a few settings the story begins as you make your way into the dungeon. The game puts you into many situations where you decide whether to engage in or not, and every outcome from each will either reward you with treasure and skill points or they will harm, hinder , or result in you untimely demise. Every outcome is determined by a virtual roll of dice so no two play thoughs will be exactly the same. The game itself does have multiple paths to get to the end of the adventure so replaying will be worth your while.

### 5/5 — 5-star app with unfortunate flaws

*2020-05-25, version 1.0*

This game deserves 5 stars without question, but unfortunately it seems to have some operating issues that hinder the experience. On more than one occasion, the game will utterly freeze, and continue freezing after the current scene has played out, completely halting progress. It’s rather unfortunate having to replay combat, often times to less fortunate result than before, due to the game freezing after defeating your enemy. It’s a deep fracture in what would otherwise be an almost perfect work of art, as the representation of the virtual Deathtrap Dungeon experience is already well done, yet the almost perfect performance of the Dungeon Master, Eddie Marsan (of Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and The World’s End fame [and so many other fantastic performances]) makes this an absolutely incredible experience.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2020-05-24, version 1.0*

This game is phenomenal and is totally engrossing thanks to the brilliant narration of the script which is superbly presented. I couldn’t turn it off it really is that good.

### 2/5 — Sound issues

*2020-05-21*

Love the game but the sound getting stuck on constant insect buzzing just ruins the experience

### 1/5 — Hello

*2020-05-14*

Would give it five stars but there’s an issue with the sound which keeps cutting out between scenes or I’d give it higher

### 5/5 — A very faithful and well presented reproduction

*2020-05-02*

This is a perfect interpretation of possibly Ian Livingstone’s best book from the eighties, brilliantly produced in a low key but suitable setting with excellent characterisation and narration by Eddie Marsdan. For people experiencing the story for the first time you’ll find it an interesting challenge (as for me I don’t want to brag, but the solution is tattooed on my skull from a misspent childhood, and I know the importance of SKILL in this particular book, so I completed it first time, which is actually not the point perhaps because the narration of the wrong paths are probably also worth experiencing) and for those who grew up with it, it’s a welcome return to a finely balanced and described game-book in all its fiendish and gory glory. It’s done essentially word for word, apart from a slight deviation near the end which was a welcome surprise...but I survived nonetheless for the final fanfare (just saying). I’m very pleased with this production, and hope to see more in the future, if possible (City of Thieves springs to mind). Just one note - the dwarf’s anagram puzzle should perhaps only be completable by us manually moving around the letters, but it’s only a minor quibble...Ian McCaig’s memorable illustrations are also present and correct, as you’d hope - his rendering of Sukumvit’s minions on the first illustration are spot on. Six stars, would play/read/listen again after a glass of red or two. Kudos!

### 5/5 — Immersive

Eddie Martin’s narration is superb. We attempted the dungeon tonight and the adventure kept three children spellbound as they listened and made choices. Absolutely wonderful.
