## What is Debate Timer?

Debate Timer is the complete round management app for competitive debaters, coaches, judges, and classroom educators. Pick any major format and start timing in seconds.

Every major debate format is ready out of the box. Policy CX, Public Forum, Lincoln-Douglas, British Parliamentary, WSDC, Karl Popper, and classroom debate templates come preloaded with correct speech names, durations, cross-examination periods, and prep time allocations. The multi-speech timer auto-advances through each phase of the round while a visual round flow timeline shows exactly where you are. Separate affirmative and negative prep clocks let you track each side independently with one tap, and configurable haptic and screen flash alerts keep everyone aware of time without disrupting the round. Judge Mode provides a clean, large-number display visible from across the room.
