### 4/5 — Great App

*2019-02-14*

I love this app. I have used several of the debt snowball apps and have found this to be my favorite. I would love custom sort order on the home screen, such as due date, snowball, etc. Love the graph on the home screen.

### 4/5 — Like the app

*2017-05-24*

Like this app is simplistic and straightforward I would like the app to have a total monthly outlay for my debts. Right now I have to manually add each monthly payment to see how much I need monthly to pay off my debt. I have this app on my iPad, wished it synced to my iPhone so I can view and use it from there also.

### 4/5 — Additions

*2016-07-06*

Great App. Was wondering.... Can you add 'extra payment' and 'start date' to each debt particularly the Home debt and a start date? Currently, you can only add the extra payment at the beginning of the entire strategy. This would allow us to add additional payments to each debt starting at a future date. Thanks.

### 3/5 — Only good for credit tracking

*2015-10-14*

This app is only good for credit tracking this does not show monthly budgeting, which can be useful to include payments, such as monthly rent or phone bills that have no end date of payment.

### 4/5 — Very Good

*2015-06-09, version 1.5.2*

Very good application. Excellent graphics, data and charts and very good use of screen space for iPhone 6 plus.
Downside is it has only monthly payment option and missing bi-weekly option. I have requested feature and developer was prompt in acknowledging it. Hope this will be added soon. I also would like to add my savings goals as debt so that I can know when those goals can be achieved apart from coming out of debt. Some work in that area will be really helpful.

### 4/5 — Love

*2015-01-25*

I just got this and input everything and I love it. It looks so nice. The only things I wish was that I could (1) input a debt that doesn't have an interest. Eg. Medical bills. They don't have an interest rate. (2) I wish I could input a custom payoff strategy. I've already figured out the best way to pay off my debt and it's none of the ways you have available. Hope to see those in the next update!

### 3/5 — Good app by great developers needs easier additional payments

*2015-01-25, version 1.5.1*

I'm a big fan of the home Budget app. My key issue with app is that you can't easily add additional repayments, you have to delete and edit the monthly payment. If you could add each additional as a new payment for the month the app would be great. I tried (and paid for some) five other apps and this one was still better because you could add the initial loan amount and time - other apps didn't do this so the payment end date was out. A bit more work to make his as good as home budget would be great - it is worth the money though :)

### 4/5 — Very helpful...but...

*2015-01-13, version 1.5.1*

I really like this app. It's nice to see dates items will be paid off. It would be nice to be able to enter 0 interest and to make weekly payments.

### 3/5 — Weekly, not monthly payments please

*2015-01-07, version 1.5.1*

I would give it five stars but i need it to be a weekly schedule payment not monthly , some months have more weeks and it would be better if it offered that option!

### 4/5 — Good app. Few suggestions

*2014-02-25*

I really like this app for keeping track of debt payments. My one concern is the inability to custom your payback strategy. For instance, it only allow you to pay back based on interest rate or loan amount. The issue is a problem since some of the interest paid is tax deductible while other loans are not. It would be nice to be able to prioritize the order of loan payoff manually if one is so inclined.

### 4/5 — One of the best I've found so far

*2012-06-25*

I've done some looking around and this is one of the best I've come across so far. I've a few suggestions. Features I've liked in others I have or have tried. Love the simplicity of the payment schedule. Simple click of button, neat features like seeing interest you've paid or our paying per payment. What app needs- better charts and reports like debt hd. Needs custom payoff strategy option, 0% interest option, more variety on payment due dates like weekly payments. If we could input debt that wouldn't be included on debt elimination plan, debt like rent and stuff. This application would have huge universal value but I understand it's a debt elimination app.

### 4/5 — My primary debt tracker!

*2012-05-20*

I gave up on Debt Free due to the improved improved functionality of the app. Although the competing app has since been updated, I still prefer the UI of Debt Strategy & it's my primary tracker. It could use one bit of feature updating at some point, specifically:

/ backup & restore feature (nobody wants to rekey data! Backup & restore could be via email or iCloud.)

Highly suggested tool for keeping your financial life in order.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Weekly payments

*2020-11-25*

Unless if I can’t add extra payments to loans. Like I owe xxx per month but I just pay say $100 a week instead. Paying more than what was due at the end of the Billing cycle

### 1/5 — App no longer works

*2019-02-27*

Went to try and use the app but found I couldn’t adjust the amount any more. Will be deleting this which saddens me as I still like it. Unfortunately I don’t keep things that do not work.

### 1/5 — No longer works with IOS 12

*2018-10-05*

Once I updated on IOS 12 the app will no longer open. Will update rating when this is fixed.

### 1/5 — Save the $1.39 and use it to pay something off

*2016-06-08, version 1.5.2*

Freezes all the time and when you close the app and go back to it everything is gone!!
Not even going to try and fix it. It's already deleted.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2011-11-11, version 1.0.2*

I just tried to use this app and I could only list one credit card debt and it would not accept any others. Wasted money that will be spent on something else.

### 2/5 — Has some issues

*2015-08-11*

While the app is good for some basic debt and payment calculations, it has some issues. Warnings to let you know required data in a field is missing show up out of the viewing area. Since you can't continue until the error is fixed, you have to figure out what is wrong or missing yourself before you can continue. This seems to be the case for emailing the data too, so it's not possible to use that function at all.

### 2/5 — Can't enter 0% interest

*2015-01-08, version 1.5.1*

I'm sure it's a great app, but I can't get through the setup. It won't let you enter 0% interest. I transferred some balances to a 0% interest card, and that needs to be part of my plan.

### 2/5 — Fix me please

*2015-01-08, version 1.5.1*

Funny how after enabling the pass code feature it almost works.

Exit app and restart. It asks you for a passcode. Press the round button to exit. Start the app again. It bypasses the passcode screen and you're in. Not very secure, is it?

### 2/5 — Limited functionality

*2011-08-21, version 1.0.1*

I was a bit disappointed with the limited functionality of this app. If you already have all the numbers crunched and just want to track payments or just want help deciding which loan to pay off first, then this is a good app for you. But I you still want to play around with the numbers (payment amounts, #yrs till paid off, etc) then you'll also be disappointed. This is a good app, just turned out that I wanted it to do more.

### 3/5 — No way to add recurring payments

*2022-03-13*

So it shows how long to pay off the credit card if you never add anything to it. There is no way to adjust for the annual fee. I have one credit card that adds the anual fee once a year and one that adds it in monthly installments so the payoff is wrong. If I add it in now it will misrepresent the interest charges.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Accurate finance app to track debt

*2018-09-13*

This app is excellent for anyone who wants to track how much interest your being charged monthly and how long it will take to pay off. It also give you details how much you will end up paying in interest and methods to pay off in advance

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2016-01-10*

This App is perfect for my needs. Data is easy to input. The format is nice and the reports are great. I especially like the payment schedule feature which allows you to see the balances going forward. Great for planning purposes. Glad I found it, try others that didn't fit my needs that cost a lot more. Very good App for the money would recommend.

### 5/5 — The best!!!

*2015-03-15, version 1.5.1*

It is the best and help me track money monthly. I don't want to check internet how much money I have left? I have everything ready by this APP!!! Thank you so much! I'd paid off my Victoria Secret debt card because of this app!!

### 5/5 — Just an incredible app

*2015-01-08, version 1.5.1*

I love this app. No need to sign up or give any personal info. This app allows you to see a bigger picture with regards to paying down your debt faster and an easy pay down system to follow.

### 5/5 — Just What I Needed

*2015-01-01*

Now I can finally see my debts and how much I've paid and owed.

### 5/5 — Sync needed otherwise it's great

*2014-11-16, version 1.0.2*

I have been using it for along time and love it!!! The only thing I would like to see is to be able to sync iPhone to iPad that way I don't have to enter payments on each of them otherwise it's great and has helped keeping me on track

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-04-12*

I search a long time in the App Store and through google on my pc. I read many reviews. This app has the design and graphic layout I was trying to find. I would like to see one more development addition and that is allowing for a payment ( lump sum from tax return etc.) to be paid on one debt independent of the scheduled payment. I consider this a request not a complaint.

### 5/5 — Lifesaver

*2012-10-31, version 1.0.2*

Just what I needed to give me direction on paying off my debt. Now I know how long it will take and when I'll be free of that load! Marvellous.

### 5/5 — Great, simple App

*2012-02-12*

I love this app. It is easy to use and simple to understand. It is by far my favorite "financial" app that I have used. My only suggestion would be to allow you to set up your payment schedules for every two weeks instead of the monthly option.

### 5/5 — Great for paying What-if

*2012-02-12*

I love using this application for playing what-if scenarios. Using it I've been able to find out the fastest way for me to get out of debt once and for all (I hope anyways). I really like being able to see how doing something as simple as adding and extra $10 per month can pay things off so much faster. My wife and I are using it to follow Dave Ramsey's Debt Snowball payoff method and so far it's working like a champ!
