EVERY TIME I want to download a new issue I have to uninstall several apps to make space for a new issue (even though all past issues are archived) and I have to delete and redownload the decanter app several times. I’m on my fifth attempt and I still can’t get the latest issue to download. You’re better off going the non- environmental route and just getting a physical subscription. **Developer response:** Hi w1n043v3r. Obviously even though the app shows me as signed in its trying to charge me. ### 3/5 — Great Magazine / Weak App *2015-01-20* The magazine is terrific; Decanter is leaps and bounds beyond spectator, enthusiast, advocate, etc. the quality of writing and the European influence make this a much more even and worldly publication than others. The app however had not been updated for even the iPhone 5's tall screen, it has terrible page turning, and is simply difficult to enjoy on an iPhone if any size. The existing Decanter app worked just fine! But looky here… I’ve now got a new app; but I don’t have any issues of Decanter anymore. I tried the steps included in the ‘help’ section… dead end. Now I’ve got a fully paid subscription that has been active for years; and ZERO content. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Take this app and shove it. Restore the app that worked and pink slip your IT people. ### 1/5 — Can’t get my issues *2018-11-22* I am very disappointed in this new app...I can’t get my iTunes subscription restored in the app, and the email Decanter Support in the menu doesn’t work. Further, contacting Support through the App Store also leads to a dead link. I have been subscribing for almost four years now, and think it is pretty awful that I can’t get at my issues. Fix the app Decanter or I will cancel my subscription and never come back. ### 1/5 — Dreadful *2018-05-12* What has happened to the decanter app since the last update? It’s become painfully slow to load, and generally clunky. This is simply unacceptable in these days of facile on line media. Furthermore, I’m unable to access back editions. A huge turn off and I doubt I will renew my subscription given the quality of this app. Dreadful and shame on Decanter for this simply unacceptable level of service. ### 1/5 — Love the magazine, really frustrated with the App *2017-10-24* I am extremely frustrated with your App. I love the magazine, but even after I download multiple editions, when I’m not connection to the internet (ie on an airplane) the app tells me I don’t have anything downloaded. It’s happened twice now, and I’m very frustrated. I don’t understand why it’s a complicated feature - I can download videos from Netflix and watch the, offline. I should be able to do the same with your App. ### 1/5 — Horrific! *2017-10-10* What a horrible update came from Decanter! I have to now create an account and download all previous purchases. It takes FOREVER to do that with constant crashes making it really maddening to go through the process. Those issues that I did manage to download, were unreadable, each page blown out of proportion. Why rush with an update before working out all the 'improved' crap?! Moreover they locked ALL the supplements that were part of your digital subscription before this update. Now you have to pay $5 for each past supplement. Isn't that a violation of the previous subscription agreement? There is no way I am going to spend another penny on this horrific digital magazine. I subscribed in the beginning of April and received no confirmation email or subscription number (which they keep asking for to reference my subscription).
