# Decarmy — One app, all things climate > One app, all things climate (iPhone/iPad app by DAN DORELL.) - Source: https://appshunter.io/ios/app/decarmy/id6793895870 (this page in markdown: same URL + `.md`) - Developer: [DAN DORELL](https://appshunter.io/developer/6781989997) - Category: Lifestyle, Social Networking - Price: Free - Age rating: 4+ - Requires: iOS 16.4 · 113 MB - Languages: American English, French (France), German (Germany), Italian, European Spanish - Released: 2026-08-25 - Data updated: 2026-10-24 ## What is Decarmy? Decarmy helps you find the eco-friendly alternative in everyday life: where to eat, stay, travel and shop greener — near you. FOOD Restaurants and cafés with plant-based options, markets, organic basket schemes, artisans, local producers, caterers and grocers, bulk and co-op stores included. STAYS Eco-labelled hotels, campsites, hostels and mountain huts from official registers such as the EU Ecolabel, on a map around you — and searchable by city or by country. Save the ones you like. TRAVEL Find a way to travel without flying — by train or coach, step by step, with its carbon footprint when it's published — and low-carbon options around you: bike stations, car sharing, carpooling. SHOPPING Second-hand and repair before buying new: thrift stores, repair shops, fab labs and do-it-yourself workshops, books, sports gear, opticians. ECO-LABELS Organic shops and producers, certified repairers, recycling centres and EU Ecolabel products, from official registers, searchable from the home screen. FIND EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED Tap a tile, then narrow it down with filters that only show what really exists nearby: type, second-hand, repair or refurbished, labels such as 100% plant-based, open now, walking time. Every place opens on a detailed card with directions. PROVE YOUR ECO-ACTS With the "+", prove an eco-act: a trip measured on foot or by bike, a checked ticket, a vegetarian meal on a photo. Every act moves your streak and your badges forward. DECAPOINTS Verified acts earn DecaPoints, to the hundredth: 1 DecaPoint per 10 kg of CO₂ avoided. Checking meals by photo is in a trial phase: it doesn't earn anything yet. DecaPoints can't be bought or sold: they recognise the people who really change things. SUGGEST A PLACE Is a place missing? Suggest it with the "+": the team checks it before it's published. YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT Estimate your footprint with a short test based on life-cycle data, and see which levers matter most in your life. ECO NEWS AND COMMUNITIES Read the environmental news that matters and join communities. Places come from open, verifiable sources — official registers, OpenStreetMap, city open data — credited in the app. Most of them are in France today, Paris first, and the map keeps growing across Europe. Available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. ## Is Decarmy safe? Not enough ratings yet to assess Decarmy. ## Is Decarmy legit? Decarmy has limited verification signals. Your favorites, communities and news now live in your profile. • The "+": prove an eco-act, or suggest a place that's missing. The team checks every place before it's published. • Proving an act, completely redesigned: simpler and faster, your photo uploads without making you wait, and your badges come alive at the end. • Photos of a vegetarian or vegan meal, a compost bin or a reusable bottle are checked automatically by our server. During the trial, they don't earn DecaPoints yet. • DecaPoints to the hundredth: 1 DecaPoint per 10 kg of CO₂ avoided. Deleting an act removes its DecaPoints. • Your profile: gems to unlock, their DecaPoint equivalent and your rank of the month. • Eco-labels: organic shops and producers, certified repairers, recycling centres and EU Ecolabel products, searchable from the home screen. • Travel: train and coach journeys step by step, with their carbon footprint when it's published. • Stays can now be searched by country, and Prague, Warsaw and Krakow join the destinations. • Thousands more photos, the ones that didn't show the place removed, and OpenStreetMap opening hours added to 901 places. • Share a place via WhatsApp, the share sheet, or by copying its link. • On iPad, the app now looks just like it does on iPhone. • A new logo, and a new launch animation. ### 2.1 — 2026-10-13 Decarmy 2.1 is a whole new app. • A clear start: three short pages explain what Decarmy does, then pick Food, Home, Travel or Shopping. Next time, the app reopens on the one you used last. • One category at a time, with tabs at the top and tiles for what you need: restaurants, cafés, markets, organic baskets, artisans, producers, caterers, grocers… second-hand, do-it-yourself workshops, clothing, books, sports gear. • Filters that really help: Type, Mode (second-hand, repair, refurbished…), Place and Labels such as 100% plant-based — they only show options that actually exist near you. • Large photo cards with opening hours and walking time. • Maps that open right where you are, with a button to re-center. • Eco-labelled stays — hotels, campsites, hostels, mountain huts — now in search and in your favorites. • Travel without flying: train connections and low-carbon options around you. • Paris markets with their own photos, many more places, and lots of fixes. ### 1.3 — 2026-09-10 Much faster. The several-second freeze right after opening is gone, and start-up has been trimmed. A new home screen. One row per category, in order — Restaurant, Bakery, Café, Market, Farm… — with how many places are within one kilometre and the total listed in your town. Every row has its own map button, showing that category only, framed around you. Place pages have been redesigned. One layout everywhere, information on cards, and "Why this place is on Decarmy" right under the name. Housing pages. A 12-section building guide (insulation, heating, water, on-site production, appliances…) and the four roof types with their 16 categories. Sign in with your phone number, alongside email, Google and Apple. Article titles now appear in your language. 437 France Rénov' advice centres added to the map. A home screen that gets to the point: one sentence, and the guided tour is gone — the app should be clear without it. The category menu goes two levels deeper: under each box, the detail ("Organic", "Local", "In season"…) and, where it means something, the detail of the detail. Fixes. Reclassifying a place no longer throws an error; the edit form opens filled in; housing listings that had vanished are back; opening an article from a place page no longer freezes the app; phone sign-in accepts every number format. ### 1.1 — 2026-08-28 • A redesigned Explorer: search, five domains and quick access to thousands of places around you — including libraries, drinking fountains and protected natural areas. • Adding a place now suggests the right category from its name. • Community safety: report and block tools everywhere, including private messages. • Terms of Use and Privacy Policy readable right in the app. • Bug fixes and performance improvements. ### 1.0 — 2026-08-25 No release notes. ## Apps similar to Decarmy | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Clean Something For Nothing](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/clean-something-for-nothing/id1609921120) | 5.0 (6) | Free | Lifestyle | | [Liturgie des heures](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/liturgie-des-heures/id6479204397) | — | Free | Lifestyle | | [Cute Bear Wallpapers HD](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/cute-bear-wallpapers-hd/id1544969915) | 4.2 (20) | Free | Lifestyle | | [Level UP: Win great offers!](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/level-up-win-great-offers/id6473455351) | — | Free | Lifestyle | | [AWorld in support of ActNow](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/aworld-in-support-of-actnow/id1462430336) | 4.8 (615) | Free | Lifestyle | | [True Mirror App: Makeup Mirror](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/true-mirror-app-makeup-mirror/id6738402731) | 4.3 (110) | Free | Lifestyle | --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
