## What is DecayMate?

Forget manual formulas and spreadsheet errors—get precise radioactive activity calculations instantly.

DecayMate is a dedicated physics utility designed for laboratory reference and research. It streamlines the complex mathematics of radioactive decay, allowing you to focus on your inventory and calculations without the guesswork.

KEY FEATURES:

• Decay Calculator: Perform forward-decay calculations instantly. Input a starting activity and calculate exactly what remains after minutes, hours, or days based on standard exponential decay laws.

• Target Activity Planner: Need a specific activity level at a future time? Use the backward-calculation tool to determine exactly the initial activity required to reach your target based on the isotope's half-life.

• Live Tracker: Pin an active source and monitor its decay in real-time. Watch the activity decrease second-by-second on the live dashboard or via Home Screen widgets.

• Custom Library: Comes pre-loaded with standard isotopes (Tc-99m, F-18, I-131, Cs-137, etc.). Need a specific radionuclide? Create and save custom isotopes with your own precise half-life definitions.

• Unit Converter: Seamlessly toggle calculations between Curies (mCi, Ci) and Becquerels (MBq, GBq) anywhere in the application.

• Privacy First: DecayMate operates entirely offline. Your custom isotope data and calculations are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to the cloud.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-02-17

What’s New in Version 1.2

This major update introduces advanced planning tools and visualizations to help manage your inventory and calculations.

• Reworked Target Activity:

Required Activity: Reverse-calculate exactly how much initial activity is required to meet a target at a future date.

Time-to-Limit: Determine the precise date and time a source will decay to a specific safety threshold.

• Interactive Charts: Visualize radioactive decay curves directly in the Planning tab to better understand activity drop-off over time.

• Calculator Refinement: The Decay Calculator has been streamlined for faster, focused forward-decay checks.

• General Improvements: Updated licensing documentation and performance optimizations.

### 1.1 — 2026-02-13

What's New in Version 1.1

Live Activities & Dynamic Island Track your radioactive decay in real-time directly on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Watch a live countdown ticking down to your next target activity level.

Smart Target Notifications Set custom activity goals (like "20 mCi" or "Disposal Limit") and receive a precise notification the moment your source decays to that level—even if the app is closed.

Flexible Tracking Control We have decoupled pinning! You can now keep a long-term reference pinned to your Home Screen Widget while simultaneously tracking a different active source in the Dynamic Island.

Enhanced Experience • Swipe Actions: Easily manage and delete Smart Targets with a simple swipe. • Better UI: Improved design for adding trackers and targets. • Performance: Optimized decay calculations for better battery life.
