## What is Decibel John Cage Variations?

The Decibel John Cage Variations app guides performers through a realisation of the complete John Cage Variations. It generates a series of animated and standard graphic notation scores in real time that allow the works to be easily interpreted while staying true to the aleatoric nature of the originals. The app is designed to be used in conjunction with Cage's scores, and is released in conjunction with the John Cage Trust and Peter's Edition.

With the advent of iOS 16, the app no longer has access to the device name of the iPad that it's running on, so this can't be used to uniquely identify each device on the network. Use the iPad's hostname instead.

With the advent of iOS 16, the app no longer has access to the name of the iPad it's running on, so this can't be used to uniquely identify each device on the network. To work around this, the app now prompts you to enter a unique name for your iPad when you first run it on this new version of the OS.

Fixes a bug that prevents the iPads connecting to the back up server over IPv6. Some UI tweaks to give a little more networking feedback.
