## What is Decibel Meter | Sound Level?

Decibel Meter turns your phone into a clear, no-fuss sound level meter. Open it and measuring starts right away.

FEATURES

- Real-time dB from the microphone, refreshed every 100 ms, range 0 to 130 dB
- Arc gauge with a needle and large readout, dark theme with a neon green accent
- Live line graph of recent noise, with the 85 dB risk line marked
- Minimum, average and maximum dB plus elapsed time in one stats bar
- Six noise levels with everyday examples: leaves, a library, conversation, a vacuum cleaner, the subway, a concert
- Red banner and haptic vibration above 85 dB to protect your hearing
- Threshold alerts at 60, 70, 80, 85 or 90 dB while you are measuring
- Saved records with date, duration, min, average and max dB, noise grade, a note and labels such as home, work, cafe or street
- CSV export, and share a measurement as an image
- Spectrum visualization with 16 bars from 31 Hz to 16 kHz

This is a reference tool. Smartphone microphones vary, so readings can be off by around 5 dB, and the app is not suitable for precision acoustic measurement or as legal evidence.

The microphone is used only for live dB measurement. No audio is recorded, stored or sent anywhere. Records stay on your device: no account, no server. Free, supported by ads.
