### 5/5 — Great App!

*2024-03-23*

I’m an electrician and sometimes I have to convert weird fractions and decimals into inches and haven’t found a calculator to do it until now. This one is perfect for what I need and absolutely worth the $2

### 1/5 — Garbage.

*2023-04-27*

Don’t waist your time

**Developer response:** Hi 🎤🌵, that is one heck of a brutal review. When developing the app it was never my intention to waste anyone's time. Quite the opposite.

I hope the following response may help your goal of efficiency. If not, I will gladly physically mail you a full cash refund if you haven't figured out how to get a refund through the system. Send me an email of your address. I'm not that way.

There are a few common math app related things the app doesn't do:
1) Show work (such as for homework)
2) Rounding (Precision is more important to me. See more below)
3) Square Roots (Mainly because of rounding. But may in the future return a decimal value as an answer in a rounded value.) Lots of irrational values.

Number input key click usage:

Whole numbers (blue outlined) are on the left half along with the negative, decimal, and repeating decimal start buttons.

Fraction inputs have green outline.
Fraction Numerators are in the upper right half.
Fraction Denominators are in the bottom right half.

Ex:
1 + 1 = 2
2.25 - 1.1 = 1 3/20
1 1/2 - 3/4 = 3/4

A simple click of a number button puts it in to the input at the top. I'm sure you've got that. In the Whole Number buttons you'll see units of measurements(UofM) in the upper right corners.

To put a UofM after a numeric value you'll need to "long click" it(hold it down for a full second). Or a simple click of the grey "return as measurement" button (second from top left) after a numeric input.

So:
8ft 4 1/4in ÷ 4 = 25 1/16in
or
5.54cm - 3cm = 1in

To return a measurement of a different value:
"Long click" the grey "in" button (second from left top grey button).

So now:
8ft 4 1/4in ÷ 4 = 63 527/800cm
or
5.54cm - 3cm = 2 27/50cm

To show a returned measurement (answer) to a visual representation (ruler screen), decimal value, fraction (decimal and fraction conversions), or "rounded" value. Click the "=" button one more time after a returned answer, a single input measurement, a single numeric value, or an empty input.

On the "ruler screen" there are three synchronized things happening.

changing a decimal updates the fraction and ruler.
changing a fraction updates the decimal and ruler.
Clicking the left or right half of the ruler updates the decimal and fraction values.

When dealing with measurements this app does not round an answer. This way I can give an exact conversion between different types measurement. But I do offer the user to "Bump" to the nearest value of their choice.

When in the ruler screen click the "Gear" button at the top right which will give you multiple options (even customizable) to round up or down to.

When you have set what nearest bump value you want. swipe down the popup screen and click the left half of the ruler to go to the nearest value down. Or, click the right half of the ruler to bump it to the nearest larger value.

I leave it to the user to choose what they want. Rounding is what I believe to be a 3rd/4th grade taught function that should be used at the users discretion.

To change the ruler measurement that is displayed. Go back to the calculator screen and "long click" the grey 2nd from left top button to change the displayed ruler.

If you have any questions or even suggestions of improvement please feel free to contact me by email. I'm more than willing to try and help with or improve the app.

Thanks!
Grant T.

### 4/5 — Useful App

*2022-03-09*

The developer had quickly responded to my comment about poor visual on the underlined calculator buttons ，and quickly released an update which fixed the problem. Very impressive. Thanks.

**Developer response:** Hi again A〇K, I've submitted an update that I believe to be acceptable. Early on while building the app I did see this issue but thought it was just me inadvertently putzing with my phones settings. I found disabling the button shape option just worked and didn't think twice about it. I do see how this setting can be useful for not so well defined buttons. Thanks again for sharing your experience. GT

Hi A〇K, I'm guessing the underlined text is because of an Accessibility setting you may have active on your device. Goto your devices (Settings app>Accessibility>Display & Text Size ) and turn off/disable the "Button Shapes" option.

To use. Let's say adding inches and getting a centimeter values:

1) Set the app to return values in centimeters "cm" Long pressing the 2nd from left grey button that currently shows "in" and select "cm" from the return as value list. You'll notice the "in" button is now "cm" and all conversions and equations are now returned as centimeters.

2)Enter 1¾

3)Then long press the blue "4" button that has the "in" symbol in the upper right and the input row will now show "1¾in"

Side thought:
3a) If you just want to return 1¾in to a cm value you can just click the "=" button and the app input will display 4 89/200cm. To see the cm value on the ruler display click the "=" one more time to throw the 4 89/200cm value over to the ruler screen.

4) Press the "+" button. Input display now shows "1¾in+"

5) Enter "2½in." Input display now shows "1¾in+2½in"

6) press the "=" button and result in input shows "10 159/200cm"

7) press the "=" button one more time and the app throws the result displayed to the ruler screen.

basically the calculator will try to solve a problem or convert a measurement first when clicking the "=" button. Clicking the "=" button again after getting a result or conversion throws the input value to the ruler screen.

If the input has no problem to solve or measurement to convert it will open the ruler screen when clicking the "=" button.

Another option to put let's say "in" in after a value is entered is to short press the second from left grey button. This will remove the numbers from the blue buttons and show measurement units to select instead of having to long press it in.

Other upper right button long press items:
1st grey button "clr" = Displays option to clear all history and/or saved items.
2nd grey button "➠" = Displays "Return as unit of measurement" option list (described above)
3rd grey button "𝝿" = Pi as 355/133

blue button 1-9 = places a unit of measurement type after a numeric value "1.5ft"
blue button 0 = app settings/options

Orange backspace "AC" = Clears the whole input area with a long press
Orange "=" button "Prev" = If input is empty it will put your previous equation you entered in the input. Or if you have an operator entered (+-×÷) it will put your previous result/answer after the operator.

Also the three top green row #'s will show 1, 2 and 3 to make or edit your measurement unit as square or cubic after entering the measurement unit type "1.75ft²"

If you have any questions feel free to email me.

Thanks!
Grant T.
