## What is Decisions?

For people whose days are not easily measured in tasks

DECISIONS is a personal orientation tracker — not a habit app, not a mood tracker. A digital tally mark.

Each time you notice how you're moving through your day, log it. Tap a category. Swipe up for seeking — directed, focused, moving toward something. Swipe down for drifting — loose, open, permeable. Neither is failure. Both are necessary.

Review your patterns by day, week, month, or year. A few marks won't tell you much. Enough marks start to show you how you actually move.

Generate a written narrative from your data. Export a readable report. Write notes about what you don't want to forget. Seal your data into a named notebook when a chapter closes, and start fresh without losing anything.

Place widgets on your home screen or lock screen to keep your balance visible at a glance — without opening the app.

Notebooks:
Your data now has chapters. When a period closes — a job, a season, a stretch you want to name — seal it into a notebook. Give it a name. Choose a color. Write a closing note, or let the app write one for you. The notebook goes to the shelf. A fresh slate opens. Nothing is lost.

The shelf lives behind the menu in the bottom corner of the logging screen. Spines are sized by duration and density. No cross-notebook analytics. No pressure to close. The current notebook is just always open.

Background textures:
Four paper textures for the logging screen: dot grid, lined, square grid, or none. Set it in Settings.

Widgets:
Three widgets for the home screen and lock screen. Spectrum balance, category breakdown, and a lock screen inline. All read from the same local data — no accounts required.

Under the hood
Bug fixes, contrast improvements across all color schemes, and performance work on the calendar calculations.

Notebooks
Your life doesn't stay in one configuration. Categories shift. Chapters close. Notebooks give you a way to mark those transitions without losing anything.
When a period feels complete, you can close your current notebook. Name it, give it a color, leave a closing note or let the app write one. It seals, and a fresh slate opens. Your closed notebooks live on a shelf, each one holding everything from that period — every entry, every note, every pattern. They stay there as long as you do.
Find the shelf behind the small menu in the bottom left of the logging screen.
This update also tightens up accessibility contrast across all screens and color schemes, adds a confirmation step before importing data, and improves the writing in the analyze narratives.
