## What is Deck Board Pocket?

Deck Board Pocket is a one-time paid field calculator for planning small decks, landings, board pickups, fastener purchases, repair sections, and quick job checks.

Build a deck plan from main deck, step, and landing zones. Set board width, board gap, board length, joist spacing, screws per board, waste buffer, and material prices. The app estimates total area, board count, joist count reference, screw packs, trim boards, hidden fastener boxes, and approximate material cost.

Version 1.0.1 adds a Material Buy Receipt on the first screen. It turns the estimate into a copy-ready pickup note with boards, screw packs, hidden fastener boxes, trim boards, waste buffer, estimated material cost, a readiness score, and the next buy check to verify before checkout.

The app is designed for fast local planning before buying materials or staging a job. The iPhone layout keeps the calculator compact. The iPad layout uses a wider split workspace so deck zones, estimate totals, material setup, and prep checks are visible together.

Deck Board Pocket is an estimating aid, not construction, engineering, structural, permit, code compliance, span-table, load-rating, ledger-attachment, railing, stair, or professional contractor advice.
