### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-06-14, version 2.8*

Brilliant app except for the fact that the joker cards are orange! I play a lot of solo RPGs and lots of them use a deck of cards (including jokers) instead of dice. Orange jokers are useless. Can they not be one red and one black? Make this change and you have a 5 star app.

### 2/5 — Works but ads galore

*2025-10-18*

Understand that it’s free, but every time you shuffle a new deck it kicks 45 seconds of ads. And then halfway through the deck, another ad roll. Wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t so often.

### 3/5 — The cards

*2025-08-10*

They shuffled

### 3/5 — Useful app ….

*2023-11-02, version 2.6.1*

Just purchased this app. Will use it for quiz nights etc.

Is it possible to have the card history sorted by suit as an option?

When checking for a game like card bingo it would make validation of a win easier.

Thank you

### 2/5 — Time to update!

*2023-08-26, version 2.6.1*

Can I suggest that you have the ability to add names and select who gets cards and keep track of what people have received in cards would make this more usable.

Other than that this app is useless.

### 4/5 — Need more visual cards

*2020-11-22, version 2.5*

It’s good but I don’t want it just deal a single card on the screen. Can you add a setting where it has number of cards to show?

### 4/5 — Good app

*2020-03-25*

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only downside I had with it before paying for the ad free version, was during a workout I flipped a card and an ad began to play. This caused my music to turn off and I had to hear a political ad during my workout. It was highly frustrating, however, since paying for the app I’ve had no problem.

### 3/5 — Dr Bob

*2020-03-12, version 2.4*

Good app. But no use for card games that don’t use a std pack. Eg bolivia is 3 packs and 3 jokers per pack. The app only allows 0 or 2 jokers.

### 2/5 — Seems simple enough...

*2020-03-08*

As many said you know what you’re getting, however I paid the additional 2 dollars for no ads and even with resetting my phone I still get ads. I restore purchase for free thankfully and all it does is sit in the settings area and twirl like old school windows. So when I close out and go back in I still have ads. So it’s like yea I supported y’all but in reality I just got duped

**Developer response:** Hi bam18211, thanks for your feedback and apologies for the error. We are in the process of releasing an update which addresses this issue. If you are still experiencing issues, before re-attempting your purchase or restore, make sure you have an active internet connection and have any ad blockers, content blockers or VPNs switched off. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Bug

*2020-02-02*

Everytime I try to get a new deck the app does to an ad and doesn’t even deal me a deck.

### 3/5 — Not what I was looking for ...

*2020-01-07*

This app does well in what im assuming it was intended to do, but when I stumbled upon this app I was I was searching for an app that I discovered doesn’t exist. The closest thing I could find as to what I’m looking for is what this app has built. I was looking for an app that could be a replacement to an actual deck of cards with the ability to incorporate friends to play along side with. I think this is a golden opportunity for you guys to expand. What I was hoping to find was something with a user friendly ui, that could allow for the users could perhaps join a lobby or pair in through a Bluetooth system, where only one person has the ability to shuffle and deal cards, and where everyone else has the ability to see and pull from the deck in the middle. Also have the ability to split deck and have 2 piles to take or put cards into (as a trash pile and pull pile) This would create endless possibilities of games/ activities that this app could be used for. This could make physical decks of cards become obsolete if done correctly. As is this functionality doesn’t yet exist on the App Store so I’m hoping by providing this that you become the first :)

**Developer response:** Hi Joshuv_1, thanks for your review and feedback. We're consistently considering new features for Deck of Cards, and will keep this in mind in the future!

### 1/5 — Adverts!

*2019-12-27, version 2.3*

Adverts adverts adverts and then some more adverts.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-08-07, version 2.6.1*

You can’t do anything with the cards

### 1/5 — Pop up’s

*2022-08-31*

Used for 2 minutes and immediately starting getting popups Telling me my phone had no more storage and needed to be cleaned. My phone has plenty of storage like 30 gigs. No more of this app for me

### 1/5 — Just ads

*2020-09-28*

It’s just ads every 2 sec

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-05-08, version 2.4.1*

I read a review that rated this highly for playing virtual card games between friends. It is no such thing. It just shows you cards in a random order. No ability to link to others, no ability to deal a hand. I can’t see any use for this whatsoever.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-04-27*

I’m not sure what the point of this is? I bought it so I could play cards remotely with friends. I can’t figure out how it works! It only seems to deal a card deck face up one by one to the table. What good is that? Save your money.

### 1/5 — Poor deck of cards

*2020-04-23, version 2.4.1*

The app keeps re-shuffling the cards even though there is an option in settings to turn off automatic shuffle. The app constantly resets itself and reshuffles the pack and the shuffle option also reverts back to automatic shuffle.

### 1/5 — Purchase does not remove ads!

*2020-03-28*

Recent update doesn’t work. Ads still show up after paying to remove them.

### 1/5 — ??

*2020-03-28*

What the heck is the purpose of this app? It’s supposed to be multiplayer? How do you use this

### 1/5 — What is the purpose of this app?

*2020-03-25*

I was looking for an app where I could remotely play card games with friends while we’re all on lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic. But once I downloaded this app I’m not sure how I could use it regardless of our current circumstances. Based on the developers other apps I’m guessing the only use is it was meant for is a drinking game. Yay.

### 1/5 — Whoa... gun ad first thing I see

*2020-03-20*

If I could give this a minus star that would be great. I wanted to play this with grandkids very inappropriate.

**Developer response:** Hi skla781, thanks for your review. This is unfortunately an error with Google (who is responsible for serving the ads in Deck of Cards), as these sorts of advertisements should not be served up. We hope you can give Deck of Cards another try. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Perfect App

*2026-06-14*

I’ve tried a bunch of card-deck apps, and this one is exactly what I was looking. Clean interface, lots of options, no ads, etc.

Many thanks to the developer!

### 5/5 — best card deck in the app store

*2025-04-22*

best customizable card deck in the app store. only thing that would make it even better is to customize which cards you want to add to the deck. thanks for the app looked everywhere in the app store for a good one & finally found one

### 5/5 — Perfect for random single cards.

*2025-03-02, version 2.8*

I use this for Gotch’s Bible style workouts. Each card and suit can be assigned as needed. Allows up to 4 decks with Jokers. Super simple and works well. 👍🏼

### 5/5 — THIS IS REALLY GOOD

*2022-12-30, version 2.6*

This deck of cards got me very drunk, quiet drinks turns into 87 shots of fireball, very satisfied with outcome. #play52

### 5/5 — Great deck

*2021-05-15, version 2.5.1*

This is an excellent deck of cards

### 5/5 — I’m Happy

*2020-04-20*

Great deck flip for Blackjack 21 counting. Ads disappeared after payment, as advertised. One suggestion: Add a feature to allow smaller card display on iPad devices. Otherwise A+. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2020-04-15, version 2.4.1*

This app has really come in handy during isolation! Thanks

### 5/5 — Good. (Mayor bug has been fixed)

*2019-12-28*

It’s great, but when you activate jokers, instead of two per deck, it has 4 jokers per deck and only two 2s.

If this gets fixed I will make this a 5 star review.

Edit: Bug was fixed.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. This issue has now been resolved, so we would appreciate your 5 star review!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-05-28*

It’s a good app doesn’t crash and it does what it’s meant to do. Just wish you could add a timer option so we can see how fast we go through the deck. Please add this feature! Thank you.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-05-19*

I use this app to workout daily and love it!
