Will update to 5 stars when those are included. Perfect app for brewing builds, but without those formats it's missing key functionality for mtg in the age of Covid -19. ### 4/5 — Awesome *2019-04-20* Very complete. Love it! The only thing missing is a way to check off the cards in your virtual deck as you build your physical deck. ### 3/5 — Still a lot to be done *2018-05-03* Don‘t get me wrong. The app is good...but. Considering the price and no lite version (only for iPhone)... I was surprised for example the the filtering options are very, very basic. You cannot even set or select sub-types let alone oracle text. Also seem to have trouble importing .dec files saved with other apps. At the price I was hoping to see the best of TopDecked and uMagic combined into one app. But no such luck. Please developers: have a look at these 2 for some inspiration on how to turn this into a truly great app! ### 3/5 — Needs help *2017-11-10, version 3.6.2* I love the version on ipad but the version on iPhone STINKS...I purchased the camera scan for ipad but it will not apply for the iPhone it wants to charge me again. Please help if you can. Thanks Michael I. ### 3/5 — Cam Scan needs work *2017-08-19* Great app but cam scan needs to be able to scan all sets. Other free apps do this without issue. The FAQ states it is due to CPU lacking enough power but just knowing many other apps already do this makes me think that a false statement. ### 4/5 — Excellent for What It Does *2015-07-24, version 3.4.4* The app's functionality is great. Almost all the cards printed are available through it, and I love the "View on Gatherer" button. I like the pricing sources, even though I find some of the prices shown are out of date. I'd suggest some virtual dice or multiple life counters for gameplay, though. My only complaints are that collections are difficult to deal with (to delete, rename, etc), and a couple expansions like Tempest Remastered are occasionally forgotten, or just not uploaded for a while. Other than that, it's more than worth the money! ### 2/5 — Greedy *2015-03-31* Love the app and functionality however, why on earth would I want to buy this iPad app without the card cam or the collections add-on? $5.99 for the app, $4.99 for the camera and $3.99 for the collections add-on... That's about $15 for the full app... Not to mention that I now must still spend more money if I want the app on my phone plus both of those upgrades too? And the same goes for my computer... So total for 1 computer and 2 devices is about $50+...? These are all tools that any patron of magic will use and considering that it's a collection game, it is really sad that this company wants to exploit their customers. So for that price, I would expect full functionality but, the collections add-on does not have the ability to edit which release the card you have is printed from. The app auto assumes the most recent prints. As a collector, I would really like to be able to edit the release because I have really old cards and would like to have an accurate count of my cards including which release it came from. Please fix the editing issue and I will revisit my review. ### 5/5 — GREAT for deck building & collection tracking *2014-01-18* Decked is great for tracking your collection (including foils). You can also build decks, test-draw, and tweak without having to pull cards out of your boxes. There's a lot going on with the interface, so there's a bit of a learning curve (figuring out how to add cards to your collection instead of a deck, for example), but once you're comfortable with the app, it's fantastic. So far the only thing it seems to be missing is the ability to recognize Promo cards. The full app is a little pricy (including unlocking the camera feature and the collections feature) - but if you're going to spend hundreds of dollars on cards, the cost of this app is more than made up for by its functionality. Decked is an absolute must-buy for any serious collector or deck builder! (And you can absolutely delete decks.. go to the "manage decks" window and swipe left!) ### 5/5 — Great app little pricey *2014-01-04, version 3.3.1* After reading other reviews i was a bit reluctant to purchase this. After playing with it i decided to spend the money on both the collection addon and camera addon, boy what an amazing time saver! I have cards from as far back as the revised edition and i was able to scan in almost 1000 cards with my ipad in just a couple of hours! Great app no crashes no lag just solid programming! ### 5/5 — Easily the best MtG app *2013-12-05, version 3.3.1* I have tried several methods of cataloging my collection, and this is the only one that actually works. It is also an easy way to see what other cards are out there to add to my collection. The only thing that is not so great is the camera collection feature. I really don't like having to update each expansion database for every card I want to take a picture of. I would like to simply be able to take a picture and have it automatically find the card in the correct expansion. All-in-all, the best app for mtg! ### 3/5 — Passable *2013-11-16, version 3.3.1* I would give this a better rating except you can't actually delete decks, there are cards missing from old sets such as 4th edition sets, too numerous to list, you have to manually choose the set to use the scan function instead of giving you the list of sets the scanned card came from. I had to restart the app 4times after the recent database upgrade for my 3000 + card collection to reappear. For the price I would wait for these issues to be corrected before purchasing. ### 5/5 — Actually is is really good *2013-11-13* I was a bit sceptical given the price point and no trial but actually this is really good! Been out of magic for a few years and found this to build a new deck - wow way faster than sitting at my computer for even more time of a day! The new UI is absolutely terrible, I don’t know how anyone can consider this a positive update. Save your money and find something else! This was the BEST deck builder before the last update. Please roll it back. ### 1/5 — Lack of support *2023-05-25* I’ve been using Decked Builder since it was first available only on the iPhone and got this as soon as it came out. I’ve loved the products, but as they’ve diversified they’ve become less attentive. They still haven’t released the database update for the set released 2 weeks ago. When I contacted support I wasn’t given a timeline or date for release. Instead I was told to join their Beta program to test new software for them. Unacceptable, and not what I’ve paid for. I have 3 Apple devices I’ve bought this app on, and I’ll be looking elsewhere now. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-08-30* Can’t import files from TCGPlayer. Can’t delete and manage decks. Trash application. ### 1/5 — Misleading and expensive. *2017-01-25* This app should already include the ability to create and save your collection at its current cost of $8.50. The fact that in order to do so costs an additional $4 in-app purchase is ridiculous. Also, to enable card scanning, costs yet another additional $7 in-app purchase... Your app already costs $8.50. Common guys. If I can get a refund, I will. ### 1/5 — Old version was better *2013-05-19, version 3.2.0* I didn't plan on using the photo collection thing that got added so I can't say anything as to that, but my favorite part of the old version of the app was the Dropbox sync. This update de-synced my Dropbox folder from the app, and I am no longer able to browse through my Dropbox folder to select a deck. The old decks I had in the Dropbox are no longer visible. Luckily I have everything backed up so I didn't lose any decks, but I cannot access my decks with the application. Would easily be a 5-star app if I had access to the hundreds of decks that I spent hundreds of hours building... The new decks I built show up fine, but I've been saving them locally also just to be safe. ### 1/5 — Nice App, Shame about the cost *2013-02-12* Loved the app on the iPad. But hit big problems when I downloaded it on my mac and iPhone. It's just so wrong that the developer charges an extra fee for each device to allow you to share data between devices. If you have paid extra to buy the app for extra devices (mac, iPad, iPhone) then you should be able to share data without paying more. It started off pretty great and they’ve steadily improved it over the years. From organizing my collection, to building new decks, Decked Builder has it all. Trying to organize my collection in the past has been very difficult, but with this I'm able to add, delete, and change my collection very quickly. In regards to building decks, Decked Builder is a must. Building a deck (outside of drafts) used to take a whole afternoon and half the family room floor, sifting through tubs for hours gave me a head ache. Decked Builder allows me to easily search by any criteria to find cards for my decks that I never would have known existed. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase of this app. Many complain about the price and the add ons. I would rather have just paid the full amount instead of having to buy each feature individually, but feel that the purchase was well worth it. I have recommended this app to many of my friends and hope the developers will continue to add new and helpful features. After my initial purchases, I would hope any new features would be free. Thank you developers for this incredible app and for putting your time into improving the MTG community! The addition of the Frontier format under the sets criteria part would be welcomed! The developer continues to update and support this app and have a number of other mtg app son iOS and other platforms. The overall up and experience is great, very useful for deck building or just set review and card prices.
