### 5/5 — Love the idea!

*2025-05-04*

I love the idea of of this as steam doesn’t offer a clean experience when looking at info on your games quickly. You have to go back and forth between library, scroll round up and down etc. this makes it easy and fun to use. The only thing I would ask for is more filter options for games in my library. Having an option to see which games support Linux, windows or apple would be great. As someone who wants to get into Linux I was hoping to use this app to see if I would be happy switching to Linux as a gamer. Other than that great work!

**Developer response:** Hey thanks for the review! I did not think of that people are interested in Mac support for their games but yes I needed that for myself a few times too. If you filter games by the ProtonDB native tier that’s exactly Linux native games. And every game just works on Wndows :D

### 5/5 — Great!

*2025-04-28, version 1.9.5*

DeckFilter is a really nice way to explore a large library, and to surface forgotten games from your pile of shame. The developer is also super responsive and helpful!

### 5/5 — Very very cool and needed app

*2025-04-27, version 1.9.5*

Provides so much more information about my library as it relates to the steam deck and gaming in general. Very slick, great job thank you!!

### 5/5 — Work

*2025-04-19, version 1.9.4*

Cool

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2025-04-19, version 1.9.4*

Bought this based on Jimmy’s video. It’s awesome. Even great for someone that doesn’t have a steam deck.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2025-04-11, version 1.9.3*

This is a great app. I use it nearly daily and I’m looking forward to seeing how this app develops over the course of the next year or so.

### 5/5 — Fast, useful

*2025-04-08*

The third-party integration (ProtonDB, HLTB etc) are really helpful, and the app is very responsive even with my oversized library (too many bundles…). It’s faster and easier to browse my collection here than on the Steam UI itself, even on desktop.

Onboarding was a little brittle, I did have to disable auto-lock to keep the app on long enough for the first library import to finish. I’ll also note I found a tiny issue (a typo) and e-mailed the developer, who was friendly and responsive.

**Developer response:** Hey thanks again for the feedback and the positive review!

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2025-03-22, version 1.9.3*

I got this app after a YouTuber recommended it, it’s very stable and would like to see it expanded to more platforms including gog, epic, etc.

### 5/5 — Sehr gute Companion App mit vielversprechender Zukunft!

*2025-03-14*

### 5/5 — Nifty!

*2025-02-14*

I really like this app, it has all the info I want, not just for steam deck but also for pc gaming. The one thing I’d like added is the ability to search the steam store in the app, even if it’s just a web link.

**Developer response:** Hey thanks for the review! Store Search feature is currently in beta on the discord so please join to test!

### 5/5 — A Steam Deck’s best friend

*2025-01-28*

DeckFilter is great. The developer has been constantly improving the app over time. It’s gotten faster and steadily had more features that users have requested added.

It’s well worth grabbing DeckFilter if you have a growing steam library and need help to play. You can search your library almost every which way I can think of.

**Developer response:** Very cool thanks for the review! best, Felix

### 5/5 — Lost my Steam Deck

*2024-11-25, version 1.8.7*

I left my Steam Deck in an Uber and was not able to recover it. But I still use this app almost every setting suggested for the Steam Deck translates into a good experience on my Ally X ( running Bazzite)

### 5/5 — Fantastic tool for those with huge Steam libraries!

*2024-11-11*

Could you please add a filter option for games with achievements?

**Developer response:** Hey, thank you for the positive review! ❤️Achievements are on the roadmap, but I can’t promise a release date maybe end of the year 🙏

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-04-10, version 1.9.3*

Doesn’t work. Gets stuck at the API screen needing confirmation from the Steam mobile app which never happens. Wish there was a way to refund.

### 1/5 — Gross

*2025-01-07*

If you’re a private person then this app isn’t for you. I was just interested in having a quick proton db guide but this app requires you to go into your Steam settings and set your library and profile to public and will not let you access the app at all if you don’t.
I have that info set to friends only and have no interest in changing that for access to this app.

**Developer response:** Hey thanks for your feedback! Today’s update allows you to stay private! Please try it out thank you so much

Update: hey there have you ever tried it again? Would love to hear your feedback. ❤️

### 1/5 — I wanted to love this so much

*2024-12-29*

I had such high hopes for this app. It seemed to work great for the first week after I purchased it, but ever since then it just doesn’t work. For over a week it just wouldn’t sync. Would just load and load and load and nothing would happen. Now it loads but it doesn’t matter how many times I sync my library or no matter what I do, the proton DB ratings will not show up on my games. I have to individually go to each game and hit the refresh button.
Really thinking I want a refund.

**Developer response:** Hey thanks for the feedback and sorry for the late reply! All the issue should be resolved but if you still want a refund please write an email to hello@deckfilter.app :) but please give it another shot

### 1/5 — Won’t sync

*2024-06-21*

I changed my settings to public and attempted to sync it. However, after several failed attempts I still have 0 games in my library according to the app. I hope this gets fixed soon. At this time the app says settings are coming soon…

### 3/5 — Good start, rough around the edges

*2026-02-17*

The basics are a good start, but there are some areas that need improvement. Some games from my library do not show up in the app. Hidden games o show up in the app. The wishlist doesn’t seem to update, it’s’ still doesn’t have changes I made yesterday. Pull to refresh doesn’t work on any screen that I could find. It doesn’t remember new sort settings, I have to change them back every time I run the app.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback 🙂 Wishlist sync is much more reliable now. v1.12 improves missing-game hints, persistent sorting, and soon pull-to-refresh.

I’d really appreciate an updated review after it lands ❤️ Happy to chat more on Discord too so feel free to join

### 3/5 — Headache start

*2025-12-25*

I heard about this app due to a sponsorship on deckready and it took me well over two hours to get this sorted. I started this process hopeful and with very minimal pc literacy so that wasnt doing me any favors. But i kept at it, i learned a lot and i finally got it to work two hours later. The major hangup it being christmas eve and repeated failure of the steam app, it not letting me get an api key, and the security thinking im a scammer. Lets hope your install is a lot smoother.

**Developer response:** Sorry setup was such a headache 😕 Steam’s API key flow can sometimes fail or trigger security checks outside my control. I’m adding clearer setup help and fallback tips. 👌

I hope you still enjoy the app, and if it’s working well for you now, I’d really appreciate an updated rating in the future ❤️

### 3/5 — Awesome app with great cross services integration

*2024-06-28*

So far, I love the app, but currently, a nasty bug distracts from it being perfect. During setup, when clicking on sync on any of the buttons, the screen doesn't update until I force close the app and reopen it. I noticed the same thing when I loaded up the app today: It said I had new games I had just purchased, but when I searched for them after the sync was completed, they weren't there. I force-closed the app, reopened it, did the search, and my game showed up. If this bug gets fixed, I will change my rating to a five.

UPDATE: still waiting on a fix for the updates not reflecting until app restart.

I would like if there was an option to sort by recently added. I have a lot of games and after purchasing a game I want to use this app to easily see what I just bought but instead I have to search for it. Recently I bought a bunch of games and couldn't remember the titles names but if I could order them by recently added I could see all of them quickly and easily.

### 4/5 — Great App for Downsizing Backlog

*2025-04-23*

This app beautifully integrates ProtonDB and HLTB, making this info available at a glance. If you have a massive steam library or wishlist, then the app will aid you to make play/purchase decisions. Would have loved to see functionality to search games on steam. Which isn’t on the roadmap currently. I was pretty happy to see the roadmap, as you can anticipate what to expect in the short-term future.

Would have given 5 stars if there was a search functionality.

**Developer response:** Hey thanks for the review! I finally started working on the search feature and it’s in beta in our Discord so feel free I to join!

### 4/5 — Great but…

*2024-11-12, version 1.8.5*

Hello,
the app is great but it missing a crucial feature for me. I have sorted my Steam library to different categories. Eg. I marked my games as favorite if this is a more important title for me or I created a collection of games waiting for my free time to play as soon as I will be able to. It will be super super cool if I can filter games in DeckFilter with respect to the fact if the game is marked as favorites or is part of certain collection.
Great job with the app!

### 5/5 — Die optimale Companion App für Deck Gamer

*2026-05-25*

### 5/5 — Handy!

*2026-03-22*

I don’t play on my steam deck as much as I’d like.. (I have a gaming computer) but when I do, this app is so nice for seeing how well the games run on the steam deck. I feel like the one that comes with steam is decent but I feel it lacks transparency on how well it actually runs.. where the app tells you more detail on how it works. Plus the comments people post about how well it works or tweaks, is super helpful! Thanks for making this app!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! ❤️

### 5/5 — Solid

*2025-12-13*

I really like the app. Very handy for one place to view my Steam wishlist, ProtonDB, and options for purchasing games. Good on the developer for coming up with this app! I also look the look of it - clean and pops with game pics.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! ❤️

### 5/5 — Steam deck must have

*2025-12-01, version 1.11.4*

Great app for the steam deck enthusiasts

### 5/5 — It Does A lot

*2025-10-08*

This app does slot of stuff that would’ve had me opening a bunch of tabs in Chrome and the Steam app to check everything. It’s awesome how it’s all at your fingertips now and easily seen at a glance from ratings of how it is on the Deck to prices and your wish list too.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the review ❤️

### 5/5 — Nice

*2025-10-05, version 1.10.3*

It does what it says and it’s a nice companion app for deck gaming

### 5/5 — Very much worth the money!

*2025-09-19*

Grabbed this after seeing it on deckready channel. It’s pretty fleshed out already and seems to have a promising roadmap. Definitely worth the £5 and I’m looking forward to seeing how it evolves in the future. Good work buddy 😊👍🏻

**Developer response:** Thank you so much ❤️

### 5/5 — Essential app organize Steam library!

*2025-08-01, version 1.10.2*

Highly recommend! Very user friendly and intuitive with lots of tools to manage and filter your Steam Library!

👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Very handy app

*2025-08-01*

Saw this recommended on a YouTube vid, so thought I’d give it a look. It’s a really useful companion app to check Deck compatibility and recommended settings for games. It’s great for browsing your library and wishlist and planning what to play next.

A couple of handy features would be a button to mark games as completed so they don’t get recommended as “what to play next” etc. Also something related to control configs/community layouts would be awesome too.

Fantastic app overall though, it’s a great companion to the steam app and Deck.

**Developer response:** Hey thank you so much for the review and feedback! Marking games as completed is a planned feature and will come later this year :)

I will take a look into controller layouts but I guess that’s not something that’s available to grab outside of Steam. But Sometimes people on protonDB add layout recommendations.

### 5/5 — Bought Because of YouTube

*2025-06-21, version 1.9.7*

I needed a way to catalog and look up games on my Steam Deck library, and Gardiner Bryant talked about this app in one of his videos. I bought it a couple of days later. Can't wait to start tackling the backlog!
